Nothing too in depth, I’ve always wanted to try something close to one of those restoration channels, but don’t have the equipment for all that. I purchased this strange push-button gooseneck lamp at a thrift store in Alabama for 10-20 bucks. The bulb inside is from the 60s/70s and to my recollection it’s used for diazo printing. OH MY GOD ! THIS IS ME ON AIR AT Z-93 (Sterling Scott), I was in college in Hotlanta !!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR PUTTING THIS UP. I actually remember filling in that night as the other DJ was stuck in the snowstorm. I went on to NBC Network, B-97 FM New Orleans, Washington D.C. radio and then into TV and White house Communications and now Executive Produce TV shows, quite a journey and this was close to my start. Z-93 was my favorite-awesome jingles-incredible prizes-music and our Program Director John Young was the BEST. Did you get anymore ? Also I'm checking my tapes to see if I can download some more airchecks.
Sterling, Thank you for the fantastic story!!! I’m glad I’ve been able to reunite you with a recording after all this time! Unfortunately this was the only radio recording I found at that store, there were a few other oddities among the tapes I did buy but I can imagine plenty of the ones I didn’t could have been other Atlanta airchecks, as a lot of it came from the same family’s estate. I only picked this one up because the recorder wrote “RADIO 2-10-85” on the label. I’m surprised to hear you were only in college! I had a music show for two years at a small station, WKGC-HD3, and didn’t sound nearly as air ready as you by the time I left, at least in my opinion.
Hearing this broadcast's weather report with the snow is great! I have to dig up an old Polaroid of me and a friend who built a snowman holding a Z-93 poster we made. There must have been a photo contest or something? Can't remember any other reason we would've made a Z-93 poster with our snowman. And '85 would've been about the right year I think.

Thank you so much uploader and commenters, I heard this on Lois and Clark over 25 years ago and it has been stuck in my head confusing me ever since. I'd completely forgotten what show I heard it on (or that I ever saw Lois and Clark). Seeing that scene again and hearing the full version has been a trip

I remember waking up at 5:30 am in the morning in 1991 to go on a trip, and this show was on. I was shocked Jimmie Walker had another show besides ‘Good Times’. My dad said ‘that show got cancelled years ago’. Years later I found out why, but I won’t get into it!

On the first DTV music video, I think Mickey should know that cartoon is called Put Put Troubles. It's a Donald Duck cartoon with Pluto in it and it isn't on Disney plus. But on the other DTV music video, it's the Mickey Mouse cartoon Boat Builders and the Donald Duck cartoon Sea Scouts and those cartoons are on Disney plus.
