I learned to fly a Piper J-3 Cub way back in the 1950's. In the 60's I obtained my commercial, instrument, multi-engine, and became a flight instructor. I built flight time instructing while attending college then jumped at the chance to fly the mail between San Francisco and Eureka. Eighteen months later, I graduated from Humboldt, quit the mail-run, and applied to United, American and TWA. They all said, "You're too old". I was 30 and, at the time, the Vietnam War was providing them with tons of younger pilots.
I have over 6000 hours and still enjoy flying (mostly simulated now). My Microsoft Hangar houses over 50 aircraft ranging in performance from 50 MPH putt-putts to the famous/experimental/fictional MACH 10 scramjet called Darkstar. The best part about flight simulation is that it's practically cost-free....no gas, no insurance, no maintenance, no hangar rent, etc. etc.
Welcome aboard. What's on your Bucket List?

Now for some sailing on the lake !
😂
Get ready for The British Open @ Troon.
Bryce Canyon when you were flying over Lake Powel was off to your right north of Powel, but west of Grand Staircase and the Escalante River.
Now, I see it there. Thanks for the heads up.
Really dig your videos man! Do you have a parts list for the setup you're running?
East coast to west coast in 36 minutes, nice way to travel; interesting views as well! Virtual travelling is fun, especially for people who have already done a lot of travelling. The memories come back and the headaches and expense of actual travel are avoided.
That's it exactly. Thanks for watching my stuff.
Yes , 1/2 a Philly cheese steak sandwich / The BEST !😂
That's it...I couldn't say it, but I sure could taste it.
Maybe Charlotte & the lakes next time .
I got the British Open, the Spanish Grand Prix, and the Indy cars are right here in my back yard. Whoa is me...
this is how I fly the Darkstar if you want to check it out MSFS DARKSTAR - Gatwick to Nice in 16 minutes (multivision) --- czcams.com/video/H-_jJPuTBN0/video.html MSFS Mission: ANTARCTICA --- czcams.com/video/qEqr0joNbws/video.html
Hi Jacques, Super job. Thanks for sharing. It's late so I'll do Antarctica tomorrow. WingNutt
if you, like me, find it difficult to focus while flying AND decorate your video with talk - then what you can do is first, do the flight silently and focusing, second, review your video with voice-over i suppose it is the same as playing guitar and sing - a matter of practice.
Less than 185 knots you are in stall mode - are you aware of this ? your AoA will go very high - this is highly risky.
I have been flying since 1956. 6000+ in real aircraft. 300+ hrs sim. Instrument, multi-eng, flt. Inst. I do appreciate your input. Most folks in the back seat or on airliners can't see diddely. I'm into showing them what the pilots get to see and do. I love all the Garmin glass and GPS. I only flew with "steam" gauges. Watching someone fly on solid instruments is boring. Last but not least, I don't like to edit my writing or CZcamss. Thanks again for sharing. Blair/Simbucketier (Age 87)
no autopilot but I have found the aircraft to be very stable and takes a minimum supervision / micro-corrections of the roll.
Can you transequatorially circumnavigate the whole earth in 5 hours or less ? do you take the challenge ?
Awesome video!!
Love the video and your commentary!
Oops - a little ruff Bravo Charley 😮
My problem was allowing my airspeed to drop below 200...I just did it again :-((
Nice landing!
Thanks for watching my fantasy

Thanks M. Hope you are feeling better.
Hey there!
Hi Dallas, Thanks for watching. Do you have another request? WingNutt
@@AirTimer sure the Chicago area! Or did I miss that one!
The Sutter Buttes are indeed the worlds smallest mountain range - it has a ton of history with the native Maidu people and also has a Titan missile silo still in the Buttes. Also you landed in Olivehurst (Yuba County). Yuba City is across the river.
Thanks for the verification, history, and corrections...lucky I didn't have passengers :^)) Do you have a trip request?
😊👏
thanks for your support

Yes...it took some practice with a lot of crashes to pull off "skylarking".
Looking for a Golfstream for a longer trip . Do you have one in your fleet?
Type in Cessna Longitude for these flights.
Rosemary Beach & the panhandle ✔️
Thanks for the request. I enjoyed getting out the F-15 and flying along the Gulf Coast's beaches.
True good ❤❤❤🎉
Thanks for watching my stuff :^))
nice
Thanks
Research the Hawaii Islands in the x-cub / the Garden Island.
I ran the Hawaiian string, stem to stern, in the F-15. I did Honolulu and landed next to the Arizona in the X-Cub w/floats. I think I did Kilauea in the X-15. Ask my CZcams Channel. If you want a specific spot, 5 or 10 mile area...happy to give it a shot. BC
smooth landing as always
Appreciated!
It's not water at all. it's the OSM road overlay that is projected on the roads.
Thanks...I'm still learning at 86. My Techie will have to explain OSM.
Mount Fuji.
Thanks for your comment. You are correct.
nice flying and management...seems like you really know how the darkstar behaves ingame. beautiful scenery in that part of the world too, reminds me of norwegian fjords
Thanks for your nice comments. I love showing all the different views, and that's when it gets wild.
lol
Thanks for enjoying my antics.
This video is so good!!❤❤ 1:20
Thanks for watching my attempt to walk in Charles Lindbergh's foot steps...flying the mail back in the 60's is the closest I got. WingNutt
I got lost during the flight. I hope you found your way!
It got too long...should have deleted it and re-loaded. Yes, I did make it to Lima on fumes.
flying is so fascinating. great video
Glad you enjoyed it
Just st connected!
You bet Moma :^))
You are ignoring ATC instructions :P
Thanks for your comment. I stopped flying real aircraft 20 years ago having accumulated over 6000 hours...instructing, charter, mail-run, and sales. It's just a game, but I do get your point. WingNutt
That was the coolest/fastest tour I've ever been on.
Glad you enjoyed it! Watch for the side trips in the F-15, Citation, and TBM. Thanks for watching. WingNutt
talks alot without saying much
I'm guilty. Thanks for watching. What would you like to see or hear?
You had ballooning during your landing from pulling up too hard. Hold a constant landing attitude to prevent ballooning effect and to not gain altitude on the round out when entering ground effects.
Good call. Thanks...527BC
hello sir good video
Thanks. Appreciate your watching my Sky Larking. 527BC
