I'm just sick of listening to people saying they don't like gays. When is this going to change? I bet each of us has heard a homophobic comment - I remember in 1989 my housemate ranted against gays and then again in about 1982 my best friend started criticising a six former at our school, for being (good for him -) obviously gay. Both times amazed me. And now we have homophobes like Farage and Trump et al trying to bring it all back. They don't say it but you'll know they are thinking it.

I was in Glasgow for about a week this year, 6 years after this video was posted. There were many public signs of support for the LGBTQ community, none of them covered in graffiti. In a pub toilet I saw homophobic writing on the wall, accompanied by other writing refuting the homophobic comment. I only got a brief snapshot of Glasgow, and I only saw what lies on the surface. But I hope that what I saw means that tolerance is growing in Glasgow.
