I met him at a gig in a north london pub with The Dubliners in tge early nineties Amazingly, In person, he could be quite shy. So, no it doesn't surprise me at all he seemed embarrassed when he said the name of the band meant 'kiss my ass' 😂 but it is quite funny. it was an incredible honour to meet you. The world has lost a top poet and musician but a wonderful and humanitarian person too. He really was a geniius, a one-off. DEP sensitive soul, thanks so much for the music. 😢😢😢

As an older lady well four years older than Shane and never interested in punk, I thought, oh my goodness whose this !!!! Then watching documentaries about him I discovered he was very intelligent, his mother and father said he was very reliable. He was with his partner and wife for about 40 years. He couldn't go past a homeless person without giving them a wad of cash., his wife says. He was asked if he thought he was lucky and he said "of course, some people only have a bowl of rice to eat". The Irish music with all the different instruments. Had to admit that my admiration grew for this man.

Ok peopel its an Dual Engine Type design of an car and it might by that it uses Multi Stroker effects. I dont want to by rude but considering exaust gas co2 and metal particel,decaying biological coolant ,contaminared lubrication oil and vaporising lubrication oil,leaky fuel pump gas vapor enters the crank case ,brake fluid leaks,any way I even experianced tree oil acids and bacteria beaing sucked up in to the crank case the engine get flooded but mostli thats the cause of failing gm wire harnest no diodes no zener diodes on modules ,no ballast resistor on xenon bulbs,dual relay effects ,stuck arcing horn ,and yeah even for an 80s car that thing hade lot problems.And yes if you look at the sr type magnet starter motor it can act as an metadyne generator you can swap around magnets to get on bouth brushes variuse out puts (++,--,-+,+-) that is indead posibel and ferrite ceramic magnets increase amps but reduce volts if they get hot in tempersture differences some of those magnets de msgnetise. So Im still today not shure what ells it might cause it mostli I suspect organic gas interaction from the enviroment mostli trees smell in cold morning. So I ques bouth an Strling and Papp engine wuld work on organic and chemical gas suposedli. And the damaged engine block in the old days culd by checked by dry engine block some dry iron filings and an bar magnet thats the only way to see those micro cutts. In my test results I noticed Engine Effects ( Strling,Flame Liker,Pulse Jet,Hit and Miss and Hot Bulb engine effects besides the normal Gasoline and Disel usage) So please watch peopel that old Lanz Bulldog tractor Gasoline-Disel or Farmmal MD tractor or those Caterpilar and Russ tractors who use an 2 stroke pony motor. So perhaps there are ways to use Strling/Papp engine combinstions or what ever it culd by any thing at this stage as long circuet exist to control it ,Hot Bulb Gasoline Disel Train who run an Starter/Generator and Rotary Metadyne Transformer and in turn that wuld go ither to split trsnsmision or directli to an Ac or Dc motor it was used in earli rail ,Shell 376mpg car or that Owen Magnetic car migh by good exampels . So any way you dont have to belive my peopel but Im convinced that Joe is more than capabel converting engines . I dono Joe wast reali specific ok lot things cause those similar effects but I ques its just old engine designs who have bether circuets like an ordinari Hit and Miss engine combined with Pulse Jet bouth are easy to achive .

Got all their OIP and MYC releases. Greatest band ever. Even have a genuine OIP patch that was printed on raw canvas. Dont know how many were made but id guess very few. Still amazing after nearly 30 years.

I lived a 2 min walk from that pub for many years. Although he was in the Dev regularly he was always pretty much sober, friendly and fairly quiet as he also worked part time in a record shop nearby.
