I bought this Honda XR600R from FB marketplace in 2019 and finally finished up this project in the winter of 2021. I rebuilt the engine from the crank up. I painted the frame, added all new plastics, graphics, red-orange gas tank, tires, headlight mask and LED headlight, seat cover, tool bag, etc. I basically gave the whole bike new life. I went for a street rip on the old KX500. Not the best for the street, but a h*ck of a ton of fun. I call it smiles per gallon. Enjoy!

Sharing an easy mod for chain guide, took out the stock guide and replaced with 2 x full bearing roller blade wheels and 1 x behind front sprocket, smoother power delivery, made a world of difference onroad and offroad.

If you put a 14t front sprocket and 38 tooth rear sprocket it's soooooooo much better for the street and it'll do about 120mph

i want hunting for these brake rotors last year when i was trying to build a gas engine bicycle with both a chain drive and disc brake on the left side. gave up cause i couldn't get any 250mm rotors

I would sell the brackets yeah! I need to put them through more rigorous testing but so far they’ve been awesome. I’m thinking about putting together a kit that is mostly plug and play.

I found it on Amazon. It was an “AC” LED size BA20D for the Acerbis Elba headlight mask.

Ok so I’m still in the process of install. I ordered a 30W 250Ohm resistor from DirtyBike and a 125A replacement breaker from FEEO. I’m going to install this kit with a breaker for peace of mind. I’m gonna try to make a video explaining this.

Got a few things to iron out and check over from the PO, but hopefully the thumper will be running soon!
had a '93 version with CBR wheels on it, this bike doesn't like the grip on asfalt. But it does like to wheelie... Ones all 6 rear sprocket bolts just broke of during a ride. Being only 60kg at the time I had to balance the bike and stand on the kickstarter at it's highest point using full body weight, and then hope I didn't get a recoil onto my leg. 3,5 years on this bike I made some nice memories...

How did you get a plate for this. My 98 kx 500 said off road use only on the title. Must be different in other states.
