Hi Chrissy. I really enjoyed the workshop today. Especially useful to me was the task you set: to write out lists of things we 'love' vs 'complaints', then making connections 'mash ups', which has generated a few good ideas for me this morning that I am now going to act upon. Thank you.

The workshop was concise and straightforward. I appreciated the exercise given especially the current situation with the pandemic! Keep it up!

I wrote a great long comment before accidentally deleting it! In short, I totally agree with so much that you had to say here. Hyperconsumerism needs to stop and better, more sustainable design needs to be encouraged... no... enforced. Partly for our own good, but mostly to help protect our planet. In my view, that will only happen through legislation because companies will surely have to give up turnover to achieve this. Is that a good thing perhaps? Smaller companies can be more dynamic, it may create more of a level playing field which encourages competition, it stops the desire for market dominance at all costs. It would be really interesting to see where legislative sustainability takes design. Maybe not far; so many mid-century products are the definition of sustainable design; Rolex, B&O, Vitra, etc. These products are still unbelievably desirable and hold value. I think product design went backwards in favour of company turnover, which results in products designed to be obsolete within 2 years. That and our own desire for ever cheaper products; products that used to last half a lifetime now fail within a few short years now. That needs to stop. Thanks for the great talk. I'll be keeping an eye out for more in the future.

This was a really great insight into Pentagram's history and ethos. Fantastic to hear the frank and honest thoughts of Dom, Eddie & Paula on the atmosphere in which we are all working right now. Interesting to hear their stories about their lives and how they came to Pentagram. I really liked the relaxed, conversational format, made everything very accessible and felt like you were part of the conversation. Thank you all for putting this together. I am now even more envious of those who've managed to get into Pentagram and stay there! :-)
