Interestingly enough, I was contacted this week (sep 30, 2019) by the radio program "Primer Movimiento" from Radio UNAM, México, as there is concern of people about the African Swine Fever disease in terms of whether the virus affects humans..! the point of my comment is that, the oncern of people about ASF.. Learned quite a few things from the talk of Dr Sánchez Vizcaino, many thanks for posting the conference.. Regards

In Romania, I have seen it. It is bad! We killed about 3000 pigs in 2 days just where I live and right now, more and more cases appear all over the country. But if China falls, we are fucked.

It sucks the virus doesn't infect meat-eaters : (

Currently the outbreak in China is out of control so to put it mildly we are sort of f@cked.

Why can not we promote consumption of plants and seafood do we really need this cheap source of meat? Pigs are intelligent animals they are mammals and do not deserve to be bred in cages fed dead and flu infected poultry, given blood meal derived from morbid animals and fed their own carcasses just to increase their protein content. This is not live stock farming this is cruelty. It is inevitable that they eventually get diseased and develop deadly infections. This unscrupulous business and cruelty must come to an end.
