KLEIN KNECT 3/8 Pass-through Socket Set RECALLED ? + Crescent X6 25 Pc SOCKET SET Comparison! 65400
Today I’ll be making a comparison video with the Klein pass-through KNECT Socket set versus the crescent X625 piece socket set which is better. Why can’t I find the 65 400 socket set? Was it recalled? For a while it seemed like you could only get the smaller set. Lowe’s actually remove them from the shelves and you cannot get them now they are back in stock! Is the Crescent better let’s find out? #klein #kleintools #screwdriver #tools #vetopropac #edc #electrician #ibew #Crescent #mechanic

NEW! Klein 9 in 1 Magnetic Pass-through Nut Driver 32809MAG #tools #kleintools #32807 #electrical

Today I’ll be going over the NEW Klein passthrough multi but driver also comparing to the Klein individual passthrough but drivers. #KleinMultitool #klein #screwdriver www.homedepot.com/p/Klein-Tools-9-in-1-Pass-Through-Multi-Nut-Driver-32809MAG/325798560
I deal with enough metric that the Klein not offering metric is a deal breaker.
Bought both about 3 months ago. Solid purchase for new construction electrician if you only work with SAE. I assume metric set is on its way. The nut driver application is shorter than the 7 in flip socket driver so that’s nice. The primary issue with set is that the sockets aren’t very secure in the ratchet so working from heights is a bit risky with these. That said I, I work far away from home and no where near a shop so this compact container covers me for deep sockets and regular plus screw drivers so it’s a hell of a set up if you are low on space or weight capacity.
My biggest complaint about the Klein sets... they are not "standard" like the Crescent, Grearwrench, etc. Those sets permit you to use their parts between them, whereas the Klein only work on their handles. Klein should have made them compatible.
I have one of these and cannot for the life of me find a place I'd use this instead of a good socket set.
Under a sink removing a faucet or removing toilet bolts from a toilet flange.
90 bucks! Ouch!
Going to get this and take out all the small sizes
Does Klein make a 1/2” drive adapter for their pass through?
No, not that I’m aware of

Damn a lotta hating ass people
Where can I get one
Home depot
Keep uploading bro like the content
Just bought that pouch online, cant wait to get it, not ibew, but a journeyman electrician whos been in the game going on 11 years now, oil field trash here, we dont have unions in midland/odessa texas, and dont let these haten ass punks discourage you my man keep doing what you doing
Milwaukee has a slimmer tape measure, I’m not a fan of them fat boys
Awesome little pouch. Run almost the same setup as well except for a small 4 in 1 pouch on the right side to hold my tape measure and other pair of cobras. Good stuff dude!
Deadly. I think you might want to sub in side-cutters instead of the cobras though.
5th year apprentice? Don't you only have to do four years of school?
My apprenticeship is 5 years
Never understood why the older 32807 mag didn't have 5/8 or 3/4 in the handle like this does, it was just so obvious.
Question: Does the Crescent come with a case or holders?
Just the holders, no case
6 point Klein vs. 12 point Crescent sockets , I'll take the six point sockets.

What brand is that electric screwdriver?

Klein’s set is designed for electricians whose panels, boxes and conduit bolts are all imperial. And the main reason for the pass through is for threaded rod use.
Occasional use, it’s nice. Daily use, no way.
Depends what you do. As a plumber this is a must have.
Took several weeks to get ahold of each of these. Got used to the non-ratcheting screw driver and now the ratchet trips me up sometimes 😜 Thanks for posting this video. This combo is really useful.
Thanks for the review I am definitely getting this, looks amazing!
Hope you do a review of it Dave!
No 5/8” ???
Correct No 5/8
Hell yeah man im a 5th year too and i have the mp1 with the loop. No problems yet but i love it. Veto is a solid company. Love that blackout!
Esto es adictivo😎🔥🔥
That the set I want but can’t find.
Should be available at Lowe’s
I found the crescent at Ace hardware for $25
are the crescent sockets interchangeable with the Craftsman Max Access?
Yes
Klein selling point for me is the case. That set up is much better for those who take their tools to a job site.
Happen to mention the ratchet's tooth count?
Check out the full video!
So this is the 1/4" set? And not the 3/8" set correct? You happen to know if it will fit in the non ratcheting impact handle version of this screwdriver?
Yes it is the 1/4 set and No it will only fit the ratcheting impact handle not the non impact handle . I recently posted video of the 3/8 set on the channel check it out!
@TheWiredWorkbench gaaahhh!!! Fuckin klein! Damn them and their endless use of proprietary products w all their tools!! but aye the new ratcheting impact and those pass thru sockets working w each other is a step in the right direction I guess lol... But dope thanks fam for the heads up, appreciate it
Wonder if these pass through sockets will be compatible with the new M12 Milwaukee Insider Extended Reach pass through ratchet. Went with Astro Pneumatic nano 1/2 drive, Husky 3/8 drive low profile impact sockets and Astro Pneumatic double ended 17mm 22mm flex head wrench. This has 6-19mm no skips in 3/8 and 10-24mm no skips in 1/2. Also 10 sockets 1/4 to 3/4 in no skips (1/16 increments) + and odd 9/32 in 3/8 drive with 11 sockets 3/8 to 1" no skips in 1/2 drive.
Everyone is showing off the crescent pass thru kit but, here’s something better. Gearwrench 890040 and gearwrench 8946. So much better. Gearwrench also makes extended handle flex pass thru ratchet kits. Both crescent and GW are made by Apex tool group. Crescent is the lower end version. You can tell by the ratcheting mechanism so if you think that crescent is smooth, you will think it’s similar to grinding bricks compared to the GW. Klein is really taking advantage of you fan boys. Pretty grimy if you ask me. Especially when there are so many better tools options out there.
I’m sure it’s definitely a better set especially considering it’s gear wrench but same thing the Klein is doing is it worth that $100 for it. Maybe it is for some but just showing the new Klein and comparing it to a significantly cheaper better product
Ok. $38 Sata ST09134SJ I’m just trying to add a good option vs comparing a bad product to a rip off. The crescent ratchet mechanism feels cheap and I doubt it can withstand much torque and the crescent sockets do not fit anything well. Very sloppy. No mechanic would use a socket with tolerances that bad, let alone the fact that no mechanic would use universal spline. I don’t like to knock Apex but shame on them for taking advantage of DIYer’s. And the Klein kit is just a sad , very limited, over priced, super proprietary socket set that will leave customers with useless tools when something fails. Sorry for the rant.
And keep those Klein tools lubed up. Cr-v rusts like a terminal cancer at a very fast rate.
Crescent, gearwrench, craftsman, husky, duralast pass through sets all made by the same manufacturer. All interchangeable
Don’t forget about Sata! And Draper expert, halfords, makita, wurth, omega, ect, ect, westward, and the old kobalt style pass thru. Also interchangeable. Something to note, duralast and some other brands make 2 different styles of pass thru. One made by apex like our favorite gearwrench and the other being the hex load style. Not sure who makes those. Probably Stanley. Crazy as I might be about pass thru, I’m not a fan of the hex style pass thru kits. I do know that the newer kobalt xtreme pass thru is not compatible with the Stanley/bostitch. But craftsman did make a hex load pass thru compatible with stanly. Made by stanly, not apex? Who knows for sure really. But then you have Klein. I’m sure there’s some compatibility with some of the hex load pass thru stuff, but to the best of my knowledge that stuff is expensive. Another reason I steer clear of that style pass thru.
I love this little pouch. Thanks
Do the crescent sockets fit in the klein ratchet?
No they do not!
yep, drag is important.
Good set up !
Hate this tool. Too much to keep up with and too bulky for the bag. Sense it’s pass thru it’s more usable
Where did you get the 65400 from?
Lowes before they pulled them. Video coming out soon
Klein has a recall on KNECT 65400
Yess they’ve removed them from the stores. I spoke to Klein about the recall and they didn’t have much too say
I carry a 6ft tape good for 95% but is like 10x lighter
For some reaspn they removed them from lowes website
The 32 piece 1/4 65300 is still available but the 65400 15 piece 3/8 set was removed and my next video is about why they were removed I’ll have that out hopefully Tuesday or Wednesday
@@TheWiredWorkbench awesome! Yeah I saw the 32 piece at a Lowe's and hour from my house and snatched it up, still wouldn't mind having the 15 piece and keeping it at the house
Hey I just picked up the 65400 at Lowes today Wednesday December 20th at 11:45am Did you ever figure out why it was recalled? Maybe the recall is over cuz the sku# scans at self checkout for 69.99
@@markhaberkorn2715 damn really? You got lucky finding it. I think they pulled them all almost
Does it rattle when you shake it?
No
Thanks for the solid review! Hadn't heard of this one yet.
Would t5-600 fluke fit in the main pocket?
Maybe without the leads. I have a fluke 323 and it fits without the leads
Great video thank you!!

Being an IBEW inside wireman is the only way to go!! LIVE BETTER, WORK UNION!! 👍👏
Absolutely!!
Man I got to carry over 70 pounds of tools everyday and sometimes I go weeks using just my pliers and a knife
the union sucks azz Where else will they be short on work for you to do and not allow you to go do sidework in your own time and still make you pay your dues… 30 years in the union is the equivalent of 15 years working as an electrician in the plants A- class journeyman making $45 an hour and barely even do anything everyday. The union is a scam sham
