How does the Spring Event work?
Spring Event is for members of the Cabbage Patch Kids Collectors Club. You register for the event and go attend in Georgia in person. There's a little goodie bag and a meal, usually. This was the first one they held in a while, so I suspect that it will look different in coming years. And this year it looks very different than it has in the past.

The room currently decked out for Christmas is a banquet hall. Before Covid, they hosted weddings and such there. There's a full kitchen.

Do you know what the measurement is for the full size kids? How about the adoption fees today? I truly want to make a customized one if I ever get to visit. I have over 100 MM (mass market cpks, mint with papers), but they are much much smaller, drastically. I have 4 Vintage Little People, only 2 with original paperwork ect. I'm wondering if they are the same size as those???? Or around?? My Grandmother and Great Grandmother also have a Vintage Soft Sculpture Little Person. It's a dream of mine to go here, and I'm hoping the Lord would make it possible for my almost 90 Great Grandmother to be able to do this with me, and my Grandmother. Praying. I enjoyed your video! He was not the original inventor of the cabbage patch kids apparently there was another lady who started making baby dolls and he took a lot of her dolls and stole the idea.

Perfect for those who wanna play a household that stays in Batuu. I saw how much space there was above the cantina and knew someone had to have done it <3
The late Martha Nelson Thomas is the true creator of these dolls. Cabbage Patch dolls were a big part of my childhood and I still have and love mine. But I now know that they are knock-offs. RIP Martha Nelson Thomas! Your dolls brought so much joy to the world!

I used to go there a lot as a kid last time I went was 2 years ago and I am almost 38 my great-grandmother had a place in hiawassee Georgia we would go visit every summer and then we would go to Cleveland a lot cuz we love that place cuz I grew up with cabbage patch babies being an '80s baby and all and growing up in the nineties cabbage patch were very popular still have most of them one of my favorite places 🥰❤️

Ok, so why does everyone grab one? What if 2 people want the same doll? Then, do they walk around and trade? Seems kinda stressful!
This is a special dash during Spring Event. They are a limited edition to only the dolls in the room. And people try to tell their neighbors which one they are going for so no two people try for the same one. It doesn't always work out, though.
@@TwoTru Yes, I just think that often 2 people want the same doll, then whoever grabs it first, wins. I don't think I'd like to go and do that. No matter how special they are~

Wait I have never in my life used that stacked log sculpture thing because I thought it was stupid and ugly but you put it in a fireplace and it's the best thing I've seen all day. You used so many things in ways I'd never considered. I need a reading nook under the stairs in one of my builds STAT.
I actually saw someone else use the logs like that and thought it was brilliant! I like putting stairs in diagonal rooms to make faux diagonal stairs. But it also takes up a lot of room so let's make it cozy!

It shocks me that people can pay hundreds on the spot. I'm more a fan of the cabbage patch horses from 2005. But I'm glad people can enjoy this! I've always wondered what a collectors adoption was like! Hope I can go one day c:

Do they do this every year?
Spring Event is held every year. You have to register and be a member of the collectors club. They also have dashes like this at Fall Fest and Appalachian Christmas. But Spring Event is by far the big collectors event of the year.
Where did you go and is there an adoption? Also do they announce the events?
As the title says, this was at the Golden Valley Humane Society in Minnesota. This was several years ago, but I believe if you go to their website, they have events listed.
It is every other Sunday at the Golden Valley Animal Humaine Society.

Wait you bring your own rabbit?
Yep! Each rabbit costs a dollar. Humans are free to get in. I did not bring a rabbit to this event, I was just enjoying all the bunnies. But it is a great way for your rabbit to socialize and get some exercise in neutral territory.
