Then the first man to be made a freemason in England is Robert de Moray aka Murray aka Moore (1608-1673). This gives an indication of a 'lineage' since the spoken 'Molay' is much the same as the spoken 'Moray,' as we all know from the 'fa ra ra ra ra' joke in Christmas Story.

I live in my car currently due to another herniated disc and being disabled, and a lodge keeps inviting me to join in on an open house, but I am in such a bad financial situation at the moment, as you say focus on other things. However, your not understanding the position many are in and if they decide to keep putting it off, it simply will never happen. The fact that we are being trapped into these economic situations and in my position when anything like inflation gets worse, now I am trapped more. I come from a masonry that are in many ways different. A masonry that is much more focused on the ritual. The ritual what it will tells us. There is a basic interpretation that you can read in a book in the library. But of course you can do your own interpretation. But in the end there is one interpretation that the founder (King Carl XIII) wanted to tell. So you don't totally be out in the blue. Lost in other words. Like there are instruction lodge that explain the ritual and symbols. Theater that explain in depth symbols, ritual, philosophically and historically. But also play it up during the explanation is done. From my point of view that is what makes masons stop visiting. They do not get explanation, understanding what we go through. Not all, especially me, are not that intellectual smart to figure it out by ourselves.
