This is the song "Judgment Day" from the original soundtrack of the movie Terminator. It's written in 13/16 time, and I'm covering the remix by @gravityescape. Thanks to @jessiehoda for the audio mix! I had a lot of fun with this one...thanks for watching!

That was too much dude The intro was dope , But the rest is top much man The verses were too overwhelming and the blast you were doing on the end of the bars did not fit in well But i like your splash and cymball work it was very well timed From a drummer to drummer with love man
hey man! Thanks for watching! Yeah - I wanted to challenge myself in the classical style of theme and variation, and those ideas kept coming...this song was very much a decision of what to NOT play just as much as what to play, to give an overall crescendo from beginning to end. Technically, I really enjoyed the intro, because of all the polyrythmic patterns over an odd-time signature. But as a fan of metal, I was trying to add blasts here and there :)

Andrew - I am so thankful you watched and reviewed my video! You were on the right track as you started writing the rhythms out on paper…I was actually corrected a while ago on the time signature, as it’s 13/16, not 13/8! Sorry to confuse 😂 I realized that I played this entire song in 2 bar phrases, so that the 2 measures of 13 would even out…thus I kept an 8th note pulse in my head, but it’s really a 16th note rhythm. As I was writing the drum parts, I would stretch out the ideas over that “2 measure” feel, so that both hands and feet could still find the downbeat together (when there wasn’t an ostinato). All in all, it was a really fun project, and I am so enamored by odd-time signatures, so my next video will reflect that!
