These Dugongs are seriously cute. I would love to free dive with them. Awesome sailing on fairly small boats. I crossed the pacific on a 30 footer…. it seems like you guys are not much longer.

I find not having things makes those things better. Regardless of both sides of the ying and yang. What you discover is everything is amazing, and you appreciate all that life provides. It is important to experience what is out of your comfort zone so you have that perspective.

As a woman who has lived aboard her own boat, all I can say is, meditate. Keep looking within to stay acquainted with yourself and to honor yourself. I wish I had worked harder not to focus on others who were focusing on me. It was too hard then not to notice that my presence generated attention in ways that men don't experience. Men were always there to talk their plans or projects over with each other, but were reluctant to do so with me. It seemed they feared they would end up doing the work projecting their past experiences on every other female that exists. I love doing my own work. But, keep your positive strength together, and one day, men will get used to seeing us around. You are doing so much to normalize women as solo sailors. Much love! Much light.

OMG! What a gift! I just spent nearly $300 on a quart of 105, hardener, chip brushes, couple of other small things, and one quart of varnish. So, I would say you have more about $3000 in supplies right there. How awesome is that! You're so cool to people though, so you attract those things to yourself--in a good way. Good for you girl.

Oh yeah, and I loved the recycling of the chart table. We took one of the shelves out that was in the v V berth of our Hunter 30 and cut it down to 2 small shelves like your coffee cup shelf idea.

I just LOVE seeing you with Dan on the boat too. I love, and admire you admitting that it has been a change and a challenge to let go a little. I can relate in a lot of ways as always being a pretty independent woman but life with someone to share it with is so worth it! You rock sailor girl! From one independent sailing girl to another! ❤

very interesting the whole how to adjust to someone else in the decision making of your boat !. that goes true not just for a boat it is an adjustment for all couples when they decide to live together. We're currently refurbishing all the exterior of our little 20 foot boat (it's not for living aboard, just shorter trips) and currently everything we do is with the goal to get it in the water. I'm very much looking forward to it being in the water and doing the inside because then at least we can just take her out for a spin every once in a while. Working on the outside is fun too, but it's just all taking so long and we've been stuck on land for too long. 😅 Do you also get like that or have you been sailing for so long that you actually enjoy some longer breaks? Also, I just have to say, I absolutely love the energy between you two (three including Geck, I guess) and I'm looking forward to each new episode. Fair winds! 💚

Pause @ 8:10. Then read the definition of Subservient. While I love this content, it often seems like this person seems to get a great deal of help, from men specifically. Men just seemingly pop up out of nowhere and help. While I believe this person to be very capable of this life, she seems to take advantage of men who are going out of their way to get in her good graces. I hate to even say this, but I just keep seeing it over and over again in her content. I've put this thought aside many times, but until I heard what she said at 8:10... thats a bit harsh...even if it is in the context of a joke. If I were him, I'd be very offended by this rude term referring to me as an Obedient Servant.

This is one of your best videos ever, for me. Seeing you team up with a partner and working together, using each of you's best skills, and ideas. Each of you deferring to the one with the most knowelge and skills to get the jobs done. Dan the Chef, taking over the galley and organizing it for best usage, you with the construction/woodworking/fiberglass/epoxy skills and Dan's willingness to help you make it happen. I look forward to seeing all the long needed repairs, improvements, maintenance and upgrades. I believe what you'll find as you work harmoniously together, that the time it takes to get projects done will be 1/3 less time than when doing the projects alone. You two can do this! Remember Lin & Larry Pardy built, sailed and lived on a 24' wooden boat without and engine for years... you two can do this. Your channel will become more interesting as we get to see how you improve the boat, navigate your relationship on this boat, and sail the high seas. The more honest you are (and you have been in this video), the more atracative this channel, I believe, will be.

Absolutely brilliant ingenuity and vision 👊. Its a great measurement of character to accept change, especially on a personal level. The good thing is, although Geck is small, you guys will still have plenty of alone time, which is important, ive encountered this whilst serving in the Army. If you still have the ute and have time, try and squeeze a visit into big and little crystal creek (Fresh water swimming holes) We used to love going there as a family when i was based in Townsville.
