Fantastico! ❤ must be great fun to play this in the orchestra!
This kind of performance isn't for wimps: it takes true grit.
'Rough' score
Auch gut gemacht.🥰👍
Great fun! Thank you ❤
Famos❤
Tuned sandpaper blocks, what a concept.
This is beautiful!
Anyone else wondering what the sheet music for the soloists looks like?
Possibly similar to a percussion sheet with just the notes showing the rhytmn and intensity :)

Ach...so!
The Leroy Anderson compositions were originally audience warm ups associated with The Boston Pops for many years.
Awesome!
Sandpaper a left is silent!!!
El primer sandpaper de la izquierda es silencioso !!!

Not only The Syncopated Clock,The Typewriter,The Waltzing Cat or The Sleigh Ride.....but The Sandpaper Ballet is not in the slightest second to them. What a great composition this is.Greatest melody and rhythm,modulations,...and then taken over by the brass as sort of conclusion. And here you see the role that brass can play, provided used at the right moment. Such things only could compose Anderson and all of his creations are immortal. He showed, what music really was,..is... and will remain for ever. A GENIUS!!!
Pq a roupa do maestro muda toda hora??? Parece que são dois vídeos diferentes.
Seen this done with a brass band and sandpaper blocks. Very clever and harder than you think!
I logve this is my favpuirite song
Mine too now Omg I love it
At first listen, Anderson's compositions seem a mid-twentieth century pop music interpretation of European classical music, but Anderson never made it to the pantheon of "elevator music". Why not??? Because you can't ignore it!!!! Anderson coyly engages the listener with the simplest patterns of rhythm and harmony, then turns them upside down and inside out. The Brandenburger Symphoniker here brings Anderson"s magical art to life!
