James "Jim" Christopher Gaffigan (born July 7, 1966) is an American stand-up comedian, actor, voice-over artist, and author. His humor largely revolves around fatherhood, observations, and-most notably-food. He is also regarded as a "clean" comic, using little profanity in his routines. He has had several successful comedy specials-including Mr. Universe and Jim Gaffigan:Obsessed, both of which received Grammy nominations. His memoir, Dad Is Fat (2013) and his most recent book, Food: A Love Story (2014), are both published by Crown Publishers. He co-created and currently stars in a TV Land television series based on his life called The Jim Gaffigan Show.
He collaborates extensively with his wife, Jeannie Gaffigan, and together they have five children. They are Catholics, a topic that comes up in his comedy. They live in Manhattan.

As brilliant as he is, Maron can be so irritating that he even annoyed the cool headed even tempered Gaffigan. Sheesh
People with large families must be given credit for not ridiculing the parentless ones and their glutenous self absorption.
Or at least grateful the lowly childless left the large families enough space for their entire litter to eat and breathe 😃
"I kept my day job so I wouldn't have to do a bar show in New Jersey"...I am not from the states, but Americans, when you hear this, do you assume the guy has, a) Been and done those Jersey bars and seen enough, b) never been there, but is using the image of New Jersey to convey the point?
