Young Royals will continue to educate and change peoples lives throughout the world for many years to come. Some of my friends were in the original Stonewall Uprising and I myself lived through the AIDS epidemic, saw ex-lovers pass and dealt with their loss. I tried in my own way to educate people in the LGBTQ+ lifestyle by being part of the desire to help others to understand that we are all human beings and deserve the right to love who we want. Today in the USA things seem to be going backwards. Then just in the fall of 2023 I found #YoungRoyals and other romcoms that dealt with LGBTQ+ love. I never thought to look for it on Netflix or other apts because when I came out in the mid 70s it was unthinkable to air a gay movie or series. Just to see two men or women kissing on TV didn’t exist. We had to fight for the right to remain alive and to have healthcare. I tried to do my part and for a long time was very involved in gay rights in NYC. I co-chaired the AIDS memorial at St. Veronica’s RC Church on Christopher Street NYC (unfortunately it no longer exist because the church was CLOSED). I was also very involved with the AIDS Vigil the Friday before Gay Pride - I designed the pamphlets for the march). Small things I know but it meant something to me. The just last year I found gay film. I had all but forgotten those days as I settled into life with my husband and various health issues. I’ve battle cancer three times and won. I thought my life didn’t mean that much until I found #YoungRoyals and other series like #Heartstoppers and a small series on Tubi called #MoreThanOnly. I’ve spoken online with one of the stars Bjorn Anderson and he’s been very sweet. I know I’m going on and on but I’ve watched #YoungRoyals at least 3 dozen times and just this morning saw your video. It took a while to get through it because I only speak English and German with a little Spanish. I’ve been following both you and #OmarRudberg for some time now. Both of you have a very special place in history. You and others in the cast will continue to influence how the WORLD WILL DEAL WITH THE LGBTQ+ community for generations to come. I realize that now because I see how I influenced (and many others) change in this world. Because of our fight you came along and WILL BE VOICE OF OUR COMMUNITY. I call #OmarRudberg ‘The VOICE of THIS CENTURY’. There are a few human beings in every century that their voice will have a profound effect on humanity. I don’t want to scare you but both you (#EdvinRyding and #OmarRudberg are two such people in this century. Don’t be afraid of this because the universe has chosen both of you. Your beautiful hearts will guide you. You will change humanity the way not many others have. Blah blah blah "much ado about nothing". Very privileged young person from a rich country going on and on with his musings about his privilege and how stressed he feels about it. He is going against the no.1 rule in his industry, which is to: 'show me, don't tell me,' And meanwhile the cost of living crisis rages on, ordinary people have precarious jobs and cannot afford decent housing...his country has one of the highest levels of inequality in Europe.....etc...

Gracias por compartir estas reflexiones, he ido analizando poco a poco, palabra por palabra, todo el contenido de lo que piensas de la vida, las personas, y el mundo en general, cuando lees mucho, y has estudiado una carrera, tan interesante, como es la Psicología, en mi caso...observas a las personas detenidamente y se sufre, lo llevas en tu interior, lo guardas y lo medidas cada día y minuto de día, desde muy pequeño has llevado una vida ¿de locos? Bueno quizás no tanto...pero has aprendido mucho, no se si te sirve y puedes hacer desaparecer !!!algo de todo ello !!! O simplemente como dices cuadrarlo en una caja, y cuando pasen los años, volver a verlos y recordar, que Dios te ha permitido todo lo vivido, es un DON porque venimos porque lo pedimos en algún momento en otra vida, tu corazón es enorme, sencillo, y sabés donde parar, retomar, como ya he dicho, es un Don, tu cara de pequeño ya dice lo que eres.Me alegra que haya caído en mis manos estas palabras tuyas, que no se me borrarán fácilmente, te deseo todo lo mejor y más bello, en resto de tus dias, aunque esta en otra lengua, lo he entendido todo. Y hoy estoy muy feliz de que un joven, tenga esta profundidad de pensamiento, como tantos Filósofos anteriormente, y que tan gran legado nos han dejado. GRACIAS

It is a priviledge to be allowed through the intricacies of your inner world like this: honnest, raw and essentially human. I realize that many of us out there need some sort of "superhumans" to look up to and idealize in our lives, maybe even more those of us who feel lost, lonely, not loved or not understood enough. We see these stories and characters and the actors who portray them as larger than life, because we need these idealized icons in our lives. And in the process, we forget that actors and everyone behind these stories are only humans, just as vulnerable and real as us. And that in doing so, we put an enourmous weight on their shoulders. We end up "suffocating" them from so much "love". To a certain extent, I can recognize myself in his sensitivity, anxieties, fear of losing himself, thirst for a better knowledge of the human nature. I can only begin to imagine the impact of such an experience as the post - Young Royals reactions could have had. And it hurts me in the gut right now. I am a bit older than Edvin and still feel like he teaches me so much every time I hear him speak. Forever in awe and grateful for you, Edvin ❤
