Yaduveer Wadiyar performs Ayudha Puja at Mysore Palace
Ayudha Puja, in keeping with royal traditions, was performed by Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar, the scion of the erstwhile Mysore royal family, at the splendid Mysore Palace on the ninth day of the Sharannavaratri festivities, which took place on October 23. The sacred puja rituals commenced as early as 5.30 am, beginning with the Chandika homa and a series of ceremonies. In a time-honoured display of reverence, Yaduveer extended his devotion to the animals symbolising the kingdom's strength, which included elephants, horses, and cows, each receiving their respective pujas. The vehicles owned by the royal family were also gathered on the palace grounds, receiving their own sacred blessings.
