My stepmom found the oldest lens there for 3 dollars at a garage sell yesterday 🙈🤣 and she gave it to me.. just ordered the adapter for my fujifilm xt5.. tok some time finding out how to move the aperture.. i thought it was a broken lens.. 😂🎉 exited to try it out

My "FD 50mm f1.4 S.S.C." is, weighs 301 grams, “O”date code, “o” auto, silver aperture lock button. Although have “o” auto, mine may be S.S.C. (II)b, because weighs are 301 grams. So optical system may be same as “A” auto, S.S.C. (II)b.

Thankyou for the information. I had not realized that the FDn version without the SCC markings had the same coatings and optics as the SCC versions. I have two different FD 50mm f/1.8 lenses, kit lenses from two cameras I was given. First I got the "New" FD 50mm f/1.8 kit lens from the Canon A-1 that my dad got as a graduation present in 1980 and he gave to me when I expressed an interest in photography. Then my dad's friend heard that I liked using old camera gear and was even fixing it. He gave me his late wife's Canon FT-b(new) which I cleaned up and used as well. That came with the breach lock 50mm f/1.8 kit lens. I don't know how much is different between them, but min aperture on the new is 22 and the old is 16, also the filter thread is different, 52(new) and 55(old). I wonder how many version there were at f/1.8, the so called, nifty fifty and what differences they have.

I've tried to fix "bc-error" by this magnetic method. It works ... but after pausing a couple of minutes bc-error is back ... Is there a method to fix that "bc-error" not only temporary but forever ?

I assume it's to screen the circuit from RF radiation.

Hey Juan, hey Mikey!! A little late to the party on this one BUT having flown the Max at AC I can tell you it does CATlll Autoland down to RVR150, 0' on RA No Handflown CATlll's. HUD's are used for all approaches. When we first got the Maxs they did not have aHUD but we were still authorized for CATlll Autoland as stated above, nothing changed with the HUDs other than not having to look down at your instruments then transition to visual.

I wouldn't worry. I have a windscreen velcro'd to that thing. Going top speed for weeks nothing. Velcro gives out first.

The EOS 3 is too loud for me. And it feels too cheap when compared to the EOS 1, 1N and 1V. I like having a camera that feels sturdy.

I upgraded to the EOS 1N from my EOS 620. The shutter sound alone sold me on the camera when I was able to get by hands on it, because the 620’s shutter sound is honestly awful, it’s such a disappointing sound that makes the camera sound like it’s whining. The 1N has several other benefits, but the shutter sound has been one half of why the user experience has been so much nicer than on the 620. If I was to rank the shutter sounds, it would have to be: 1V, 1N, 1, and 3. The 3 doesn’t sound bad, but it sounds beefy, but not in a good way. 1V with and without the battery pack sounds very clean, very little resonance, it’s so nice. 1N and 1 close second without the battery pack, they sound like a classic electronic shutter, a stock camera sound on a phone, it’s a nostalgic sound. The 1N does sound a hair better than the 1 I think.

Hi, I have got EOS 3 and I get the BC error message but not after I press the shutter button but right after I turn the camera on. The only time the LCD shows any info is when I gently depress the shutter button just a little down (not fully) otherwise it is always blinking. The camera was barely used. Is this something fixable? The camera doesnt make any sound at all. It just blinks this BC. Oh and the batteries are freshly bought 2 days ago.

I have noticed that the BC error now returns after only a few days of non-use if I am using a 2CR5 battery with the standard GR-E1 grip, or 6 AA batteries in the BP-E1 battery grip. If I use the PB-E1 “Power Booster” grip, (8 AA batteries), it seems to take much longer before the BC error returns. I am not sure if this is just coincidence or some effect of the higher voltage of the Power Booster grip.

Hi, is this function "Retract lens on power off" work on every lens? I just bought EOS M50 Mark II with 2 lenses EF-M and it doesn't seem to be working for both.

Not much difference to justify paying the extra really.

I always want to know the focus speed between 18-135 STM & USM. Thanks for comparison and give me the answer ! I am using 18-135 usm on M6 Mark2 now, focusing speed is very high! When useing High-speed Burst mode, effect is pretty good!
