I just uploaded the whole blend file to Pasteall for you: pasteall.org/blend/d716d8704136463981d11589e79340cc Sorry it's not the neatest-looking arrangement because I was just doing it for myself and experimenting, but it's not too hard to follow because there aren't too many nodes. It also renders shockingly fast in Eevee for how complex the final image looks, partly due to using simple materials and partly due to the speed of Geometry Nodes.

I should note that I've been using the Blender 3.0 Cycles X alpha (even though I rendered this in Eevee), and I'm not sure if I used any Geometry Nodes that are only available in the most recent versions. If it doesn't work on an older version, it should be fine in the latest 3.0 build.

It's a displacement modifier applied to a plane with a fair bit of subdivisions, followed by using Geometry Nodes to instance a ton of cubes on it (scaled to mostly keep them from overlapping, but I wasn't too strict with it). For shading, I used the Z position to drive the color and other material properties of the cubes.

I think you're going to love it. I got mine in October, and I use it almost every day. I always assumed a tracker workflow would be inscrutable, but the Loopop video kind of opened my eyes to the possibilities, and I took to it within hours of opening the box. It's incredible how much you can do on it and how fast the workflow is, and I've found that the limitations only help me be creative. Plus, Polyend has incredible customer support. They're really engaged on their Github page, and Facebook user group, and they release meaningful new firmware seemingly every week. Hope you enjoy it!

Thanks! I got the MPC Live about two years ago, and it just keeps getting better and better with all the free updates. It's a TON of fun. If you're interested in modular, check out VCV Rack for free on Mac, Windows, or Linux. It's the perfect way to start learning. The thing about modular is it looks more complicated than it is to do normal stuff, and part of the fun is letting yourself get overwhelmed and seeing what weird stuff happens.

It's such a fun module! This was my first time modulating the effect selection rather than wet/dry, clock speed, or other parameters, and I really like how glitchy it ended up sounding.
