when my 3l let go in William Creek. we flat towed to to Coober Pedy caravan park and built a hoist from 3 sleepers to lift the engine up so we could slip it forward to get to the 3 bolts inside the bell housing that hold the sump on. thinking it was the main bearing that went but wasn't. was the counterbalance bearings so a job we couldn't do there. ended up tray truck to Adelaide . lucky I had extended Nissan warranty at the time. ripping vid btw!!

Had looked at these some time ago. The only problem is that you are not legally allowed to drill holes in your rims as you may compromise the strength or integrity of the rim. If the rim comes manufactured with a second hole already in the rim then it is, apparently legal.

Simple solution don't buy a patrol

Thank you for showing us how to build a diff.I’m mechanical minded and can do minor things on cars but but when it comes to building a diff I would have to take it to a friend of mine who is a diff mechanic.I could take it out by removing the axles and hubs and swivel hubs and do that side of things but not build a diff

You guys look like you had a blast but you need a spotter with a hand held two way radio guiding each other down rough rutty tracks and you all need under car body protection guards to avoid damage to radiators diffs sumps and gear boxes and transfer cases makes your trip a whole better without not so much damage
