Is that the date on the rev counter? Funny that the 2001 car has the date set to 07.01.1998
Do I have to let the car warm up for a Compression Test?
Running a bit rough, change oil and run some diesel aditiv
Chain rattle. Did you fix it.
Chain rattle.
Price?
and what was the problem ?
is this from a gti that had a dsg transmission
Looks like a disaster to work in that engine bay no space at all
I got one in the stable lol 😂 great motor sounds good with magna flow exhaust 😊
Thats in limp mode
Is that hissing sound oky or normal?
That temp guage is not working, COS the engine is warm already..!
This car was a maintenance nightmare. Everything was so fucking expensive lol
Sounds worse than my 118k FSI
dont get why they put v6 on the engine while it's a vR6
I still haven't done a compression test and never will unless it misfires.
On what earth do i live on where people now consider 60k miles or 100k miles high mileage. Just because a warranty ended doesn't mean itll explode. I have 204k mile car with no major or minor issues
Those lights are just for beauty..
My first car that I drive and I learn to drive
yes rev it cold 👍
Love the ALH 👍
por lo menos deja que caliente un poco el aceite antes de darle esos acelerones.. mano.. cuidame un poquito ese motor!
czcams.com/video/LC3pNM_Jj7g/video.html Check out this sound 👍
Need new dog bone mount
I have to do maintenance on my smg.. got any tips? Ive never touched it. Im willing to do everything i can do to maximize performance and life. Can the hydro fluid be changed? Anything with the computer too, any tips on videos to watch or stuff to read.. im just pulling it out after it sitting 2 years
Q ciestan esas bobinas de cabeza roja

What's the point of this video?
Sounds very fart-y I'm not a fan of this exhaust setup.
Your car is garbage
Perfect engine
yes the vr6 engine is super smooth and very reliable
I heard that they aren't that reliable that they're prone with overheating issues due to the headgasket water pump or crack pipe and the timing chains suck on these
@@alaverga173 The timing guides are prone to breaking but as a VR6 in general its much easier to do the chains compared to a regular v6 because its one head. Once properly timed you have 100k miles before it needs to be done again so IDK how it "sucks" that's just routine maintenance like any other vehicle would need. Crack pipe and PCV are issues also but these are 15-20 year old vehicles so you have to expect some parts to fail occasionally.
@@PLr1c3r I don't know if I would call changing a timing chain routine maintenance and I've had a civic and Silverado with over 200k miles never had to mess with the timing. I'm thinking about getting a 04 golf with the vr6 but all these things are making me not get one
@@alaverga173 hate to break it to ya but ditto is correct, there is infact a timing chain interval for any engine, not just these engines; it's matter of fact physics. They are actually quite reliable, as long as your timing chain is new and you stay ontop of your oil changes like any other car it'll last you for a long time. I've replaced my DMF and i plan to make mine last 450,000km, currently sitting on 142,800km with not a single dent or hairline scratch on my blue wagon. the interior has held up immaculately too, no creaks and noises from the dash at all. I speak from spending my hard earned money on VWs and i can attest that it's totally worth it and if you're so concerned about these things then you shouldn't be buying cars without test driving them. timing chain wear is super easy to avoid on the second hand market and if it really erks you then you can still buy these mid 2000s vr6s with second hand drivetrain warranties that'll drop a brand new engine in if you get a cylinder head through the bonnet; 5 years after you buy it.
@@greyskiesrainfallandpeace3006 like I said my Silverado has gone over 200k miles without messing with the timing chain and have seen the same with many Japanese cars, my brothers honda is close to 300k miles and his Tacoma has 400k miles never messed with the timing chain. Having to change the timing chain every 100k miles isn't great and I wouldn't consider it regular maintenance like ditto said regular maintenance is changing oil and filters, sorry to break it to ya
Is der Motor kalt gib Ihm 6 1/2 ..... oman
Hi! Can you kindly explain to me what these numbers means? I do have a similar mileage s65 and recently did a compression test as well before deciding on sonic injector cleaning and walnut blasting Would appreciate your feedback and expertise Thanks
In this video at idle ,does this r32 sound like it has timing chain noise problem?Or its normal sound ?my kind regards
Yes that rattling is the timing chain. The noise will completely disappear with a new chain.
Lol look at the engine cover logo shake
Coolants low there bud
You sure take care of it….
That poor car
Poor car and engine has an oblivious owner.
Sadly from 2030 on all combustion cars including classics will be banned from public streets in entire EU and Scandinavia :-( In Germany the Green Peoples Party gave order to shorten fuel supply from 2025 on by reducing petrol stations to only one state operated central gas station per city or county. From 2027 on in the EU certain car spare parts will be banned too....as exhaust systems, turbo chargers and even some engine and gearbox oils...California and New York will do the same from 2027 on.... So no investments should be done in oil burning cars any longer....They even created a new kind of crime here, called emissions and smoke crime.
How much bullshit do you want to spread? Random CZcams commenter: yes!
Rubbish.

That will change as Porsche are plowing load of resources in synthetic fuel, batteries don't have the energy density 60kg of petrol in my golf 4motion 2.8 will take me the same distance as about 900kg of batteries in a tesla and were all the electricity coming from Germany don't like nuclear any more.
I have a VR6 GTI MK4 engine 2.8 l that needs to be rebuilt.
It’s better to put a new engine on it
Lmaoo😭 it was the Flat line for me at the end😂
He’s dead Jim
that sounds amazing holy cow
Omg those error lights.... Night mare
That's what happens when you swap a lot of parts in your car
One of the best engines I've had was the VR6
jesus man cold revving ur engine
I feel the hurt too.
Reporting this to CZcams. Porn is not allowed here..
That hissing noise you can hear just as the pedal is pushed, what sound is that?
It’s the air being sucked into the engine
@@cuauhtemocnunez9491 thanks for you quick answer^^
