How to fix keyless entry key fob not pairing on 2001-2005 Monte Carlo, Impala, Blazer, etc!
In this video I explain my issue of the key fob not programming to my car. Issue was not the fob or the battery. It was the keyless entry receiver module. I replaced it with a module from the junkyard and it worked!

    My 2002 Chevy Silverado has the same issues, door lock buttons on the inside all work fine, but the moment I want to program the remote it doesn’t work. I removed the dash and saw the same part. I really hope it’s a simple swap.

    • @HumbleAuto
      @HumbleAuto Před rokem

      Very simple. You might break the plastic clip that holds it down. I did that on all 4 from the junkyard no matter how careful I was. But it's fine. It's in the dash to unclip the old one, clip the new one and set it back in there. No problems since I've done the swap.

      @@HumbleAuto I’m hoping it’s that simple, I removed an after market alarm system from my truck because it was giving me issues and when I went to program the remote it would program. I double checked all the oem wiring harness and everything is fine. So I’m hoping it’s the module. Thanks for the video, there’s no other videos on CZcams covering this topic. It’s crazy.

    You have to get the rest of the sync system out of the parts cars its in the console where you usb port is u can get the whole thing and swap it I think it the Bluetooth receiver is in the console on the 2011s

    Thank you for your video ! I have a 2009 mkx with the same radio you have and I buy 2009-2010 navigation screen OEM do it will fitting good ? Do you know where I can buy the harness? Cable wires? Thank you !

    • @HumbleAuto
      @HumbleAuto Před 3 lety

      I am unsure if there are differences between my 2008 radio and your 2009. The radio will fit without a problem. If you have the same radio style as me, you will need the outer bezel trim piece for the new radio in order to fit. I'm sure if you Google "2009 Lincoln MKX OEM NAV radio harness" you should be able to find it.

    I have the same car. I noticed in your video (briefly) the “red” light came on the dash regarding the trunk (the picture of a car in the startup dash lights) . It may be possible the trunk (lock out) switch is on the “on” position. I had to keep mine off because for some reason it continually draw current to the battery and eventually kill the cells. then the alternator. Some others have experienced the driver door panel switches would not lock all doors to the car (or lock all other doors but not the the driver side) others discovered it was the radio stuck on constant current). Well just maybe you will discover one or all of these issues and be able to fix your problem. Try a “parasitic amp test” first. Not all codes are true to the test.

    I’ve noticed allot of the older GM cars have problems with check engine lights coming on and other lights etc. My brother had a 2002 Buick Century and the odometer stayed lit up light a Christmas tree lol. Unless with your oil pressure gage could be an oil sending unit and maybe could have a bad alternator or battery IDK.

    Ok so I have a 1999 Pontiac Bonneville SLE. These cars are luxury race cars. I think all the RPMs in these models are naturally high because they where built to go fast quick. I really don’t even have to give mine much gas. Yes they say they make only two models but the SLE is also a model. My temperature oil and battery levels never seem to change even if my oils full it says what yours is saying. The best advice I can give you with these is maintain them. They need brake flushes more often. Also, after driving for an hour straight the car acts all weird. Race cars arnt meant to go this long. The Bonneville from what I’ve heard is that a luxury race car. It can be an A to B car but can’t do well on log trips. When I wanted to go to New Mexico about five hours from here I had to look at renting a car. But for the most part my car is just fine.

    It sounds like it is you alternator. As you step on it it sounds like you're getting more voltage because your alternator is spinning faster. Also it could be something small like a vacuum line. Could even be the battery

    I had the same code come up on my old 1997 Pontiac Bonneville. I replaced all the throttle body sensors, fuel injectors, catalytic convertor, and all the coils, o2 sensors, etc.. Turns out the fuel pump was getting weak. Have the fuel pressure checked. 8 out of 10 chance it is fuel pressure related. Good luck man!

  • @IlliterateSage
    @IlliterateSage Před 12 lety

    As far as your battery gauge, it's normal for your voltmeter to climb like that. It's just the stepper motor in the gauge. Also, your alternator will shut off if the idle drops below 500-600 RPM. Still, that loud whine makes me think it's the alternator dying. Test the fuel pressure if you can. GM Forum has a good list of things to check to fix the P0300 code.

    I had the same problem for awhile. Try cleaning the throttle body with throttle body cleaner. Also clean the mass air flow sensor with only mass air flow sensor cleaner. I have a 99 Bonneville also. These things helped a great deal for me. There are several videos on here on how to clean both the mass air flow sensor and throttle body correctly. I hope these tips help you some. Please let me know what results if any you get from my tips. Hope you have a great day.
