We are Laura and Alex and we gave up our jobs to travel full time in our campervan, Nelly the Nissan (NV400). Follow us on our adventures as we visit France, Italy, Slovenia, Bosnia, Kosovo, Croatia, Spain and Portugal.

Physically scarred for life!
We are Laura and Alex and we have quit our jobs to pursue open-ended travel across Europe. This week we cook up a storm whilst camping on the beach in Moraira: check out our version of the traditional Valencian paella and Alex's take on steak and spinach rice.
Hopefully you're not too squeamish because this week we show the aftermath of the vicious pest that has scarred Laura for life.
We also drive to see our friend Hannah in Cartagena. Our visit just happened to coincide with Cartagena's first ever light, water and sound show "Luz en el Puerto".

We had planned to take a look round Santander but the park ups looked pretty meh and the weather has been so bad we have just hunkered down as we are planning the next step of our trip. We're catching the ferry back to the UK tomorrow. How long are you travelling for?

We ate SO MUCH food. Tapas everywhere and not bad prices either! Calle Laurel is packed full of tapas bars, its such a foodie destination. We also had some of that gigantic paella which was lush too! 😁

Nice video! We will be on Spain's north coast in our van early next year. It looks great! How are you finding driving RHD on opposite side of the road?
It takes a little bit of getting used to at first but it’s generally very easy. Sometimes a junction from the left can be a bit challenging but if you have a copilot that is no problem (and it can be done alone). We’ve actually found driving LHD vehicles over here more challenging than our RHD funnily enough though!
@@vanliferoundeurope677 Me and my GF are also travelling around Europe and are also in a RHD. Yes, having a co-pilot definitely helps. Glad to hear getting used RHD on opposite side wasn't just tough for us! Yeah we had a loan of a LHD car while we were in Switzerland a few months back. Absolutely more challenging

Out of the ten countries we've visited on this trip Spain has been the best for van life! The ease of park ups, the landscape, the food and the people! I'd highly recommend it!
A great little video. Talk over skills definitely improving although Alex remains rather silent. All in all a nice easy to watch and engaging story. Can’t wait to sample Alex’s cooking again.
