Here’s a quick walk around of my 1951 IH Farmall Super A. It has a fast hitch off a Farmall 100 and I use it to grow potatoes. This is my favorite tractor due to it being my Grandpa’s. He sold it in the year 2000 and I bought it back in 2020.
Another scrap pile.
that’s a nice M you have, cool too see the front wheel weights on it!
@@309_deere Thanks! It took awhile to find those without spending too much!
We had one in the 1960's. We had a side mount sickle bar mower for it. Baled hay with it and an International 45 hay baler. Ours did not have fenders. As a matter of fact I have never seen an H with rear fenders. Many at our local fair each year, none with fenders. I am 71 now and this brings back memories.
@@scrambler69-xk3kv I think a lot of the fenders were removed if the tractor was originally equipped with them. Having the fender extensions makes it much easier to get on and off.
Well done for saving her. Should run for many years yet. These old tractors are special.
@@stephenwight8492 Thanks! I see it as preserving history in a way.
Very nice Super A! Sad to see how neglected some of these old tractors are. A little TLC on your part has definitely turned that back into a great runner again!
@@thewestnewyorker7269 Thank you! I agree, some people really do not take care of their equipment. However, most of these tractors are well over 70 years old!
I like it. I want one to restore or already restored.
@@robertrockwell7581 Thanks! You can find H’s pretty cheap. I have more money in tires on this than I paid for the tractor though!
Awesome rig. I'd love a mower like that. Looks sharp.
Thank you! It is handy!
I have 1953 super A
Cool! I have a 1948 as well I’ll have to make a video of at some point too. Super A’s are pretty handy.
