Probably a thousand time question asked before but I try again : with the Tiptop Buchla what will be the module needed to replicate the Easel, if possible (except the keyboard 218e of course) thank you
281t, 292t, 257t, 259t (when it comes out soon) 266t and 245t. This would have all the basic functions of an 208 and then some. The only thing missing would be an Envelope Follower and a spring reverb. Cheers!

So I'm new to modular synths and I'm learning as I go. I had a couple of questions I thought maybe you could help me with if you have time. I bought two of the 207ts after doing some research because I liked the setup and the size and the fact that you could patch them together to use as one mixer. However, I can't seem to get the panning pots or attenuators to do anything. When I plug into it the sound remains at the same volume regardless of where I put the attenuator level and moving the pots doesn't affect the pan. I also patched the signal outputs of one to the expansion in of the other and no matter what monitor output I came out of I didn't get sound from both mixers. I'm sorry if these are dumb questions :/ if you have any advice it would be greatly appreciated though

@@memsens7077 not mandatory, totally depends on the electrical situation. Last night’s gig at the venue didn’t need the grounding band. At my old house in the basement the ancient electrical system there requires grounds.

How big is the sound difference between this reissue and the TipTop Buchla 200?
easel never gets old to me... but i keep procrastinating watching your videos of it instead of finally taking on the epic task of building the clone
Amazing formant-like sounds! Do you have general approaches to creating such timbres, or are they typically the result of happy accidents? Within a west coast paradigm my most successful approach is to audio rate modulate the FM Index of a complex oscillator (best results with a narrow pulse wave), however the frequencies of all oscillators involved remain somewhat of a mystery to me and it takes a lot of subtle and gradual tweaking until I stumble upon a combination that produces a pleasing or convincing result.

Hi Todd, thank you for all the informative videos, i have been a subscriber for a long time. i have a question-- I have had my 208c Easel Command for about a year, and I use a Low Gain Electronics eurorack to buchla voltage converter to send modulations from Bitwig to the 208c. It connects using the ground output into the 208c's ground input. I am thinking about getting the LEM controller, but I see it has a ground output which I assume connects to the ground input on the back of the 208c. Is there a solution to be able to use both devices simultaneously or would I only be able to use one at a time? Thanks!
I just grounded my 208c and the LEM should be grounded when you connect the pulse, pressure, main to the inputs of the 208c
I was on the fence about this or a DPO this demo has swung it also the extra HP for the DPO will really mess around too much 🎉
