Overdrive is prime fanfic fuel. Much like canon took one off mentions of the Morphin' grid and the Morphin' Masters and fucking ran with them! There is a treasure trove lying all throughout Overdrive that can be expanded upon in a similar manner by any fanfic author who can sit through it long enough to really shop around for whatever concepts speak to them.
