@@evandoylethinks I agree with you on several points. I do think the era of outreach marketing an event to hear someone preach, yes that is outdated. I do think that if there are mature Christians you as a community or company are marketing to that you could market an event based around coming to hear someone speak. But I would say that energy should be saved for other leaders who are called to lead a specific ministry inside a church or something. If we as people as leaders and or pastors are so limited on time with having a family, possibly working a side hustle, and church duties, we gotta start putting that evangelistic energy in another direction. Because you are right people now a days can just go online and hear whoever they want to hear preach.

Yes, sometimes it looks like, by the expression of faces that people are not receiving(spiritually).I do teach and was discipled correctly in order to be effective in God's Word. God has given me their hearing ,they love how I teach God's Word.But sometimes it feels like I am not doing enough.

@@evandoylethinks hi there, recently i was suspended from my job as a probation officer because of some mistakes i had innocently made without any intention when recording work matters on our system, obviously when this was raised i was very shocked and at the time couldnt understand why this was happening as i had always been very careful with my work. also at this time i was a bit lapsed in my walk with God , initialy i was very upset by this happening and was not sure why or what to do next. It is still ongoing but at least it looks as though things are going to work out and i will not lose my job, but after some soul searching and some reflection i realised that god was giving me some precious and unexpected time to reconnect with him in a much more personal way and as a result i have use time to seek his face and recommit my life to him and to get back in to his word daily. so really the whole message resonated with me as it was perfectly explaining my situation, I believe i have now gone through all four stages and instead of seeing this happening to me as an injustice or a punishment ihave come to see it as a blessing and as a precious gift of unexpected time to spend getting to really know god again and deepen my walk with him and so now i am truly thankful to God for this time of isolation.

We'll im going through this season where I've been at my church for years and have been serving for 3 years. Not sure why God has redirected my focus this year to go somewhere else I'm being called. It's hard because my wife and I with 3 kids love it there and I thought we'd be there all our lives. But I've been slowly being pushed away from my church and others have been coming to me with opportunities to serve in their church without them knowing what I'm going through. I find myself going through isolation and praying for guidance in what to do because change is hard. But I want to know it's from God and not my flesh.

This is a reminder to me that even when I am not certain about my reality, God is not scratching his head and so I will not fail because the Lord has installed the potential to do it all in me.
