The build quality and support of Sequential is abysmal. Last week I spent over 2,400 francs on an OB6. When I unpacked it, I noticed that half of the pots were wobbling a lot. especially the cutoff. I took it back to the shop and complained, the shop owner also said that it was defective and he contacted sequential for a repair. Sequential promptly wrote back to him, saying that it was completely normal. czcams.com/video/NAIAocIxQtc/video.html The shop owner then contacted me by phone and said that he would have the OB6 repaired at his own expense and that I could pick it up next week. The same problem often arises when doing some research on the internet. I will never buy a Sequential product again in my life and I will advise against it for as long as I breathe. There are more than enough alternatives that are cheaper, sound equally good and where the customer is not ripped off and treated like dirt.

I have a feeling that this synth will be one of the machines in history where many realize long time after how unique and pioneer this is to be a mono / paraphonic synth. Totaly love it!

Is there any chance someone could tell me how to get that bass sound on the first split patch at around 4:44 minutes? I've tried to recreate it but fall short every time. Anyone? :)

Great video of both rodger linn & dave smith (rip) was lucky to own their Linndrum & Sequenctial drum tracks back in the 80’s. This coalition between both music legends looks great !!

bought mine (P10) an hour ago, I’m very stoked. For me, going bitimbral was the game changer, along with the vintage slop capability. In the eighties I had a Memorymoog but always lusted for a Prophet, especially the T8

I just got my Prophet 10 today. It is incredible!

The announcement that the X is being discontinued finally prompted me to order one. Looking back it's sad that 8dio didn't live up to the promise of this instrument, with only a very limited range of sample banks available for it on their site. No doubt the numbers didn't make it worthwhile for them to do so.

Miss that guy. I was living in London when the Mopho x4 dropped. I bought mine from Juno Records in Camden. It was my second analogue I ever bought. I hope Sequential will be okay. All the best to you guys and lots of love :)

Can you have complex time signatures? I write a lot in 5/4, 7/4, 7/8 and 9/8 mainly and sometimes mixing stuff like 3 bars of 1 time sig followed by a bar of a different time sig before resolving again...?

doesn't seem to work properly with windows 11. no way i can get tweaks to be updated live. have to click on send current program every time to update changes is there a fix for this?

I hope to see a v3 soon, it's really annoying to not seeing the knobs values on the screen. A 200$ synth like the monologue do that...

This is an incredibly powerful rhythmic instrument. Thinking of it as a “drum machine” is a mindset that can limit one to the past. This is beyond the LinnDrum and beyond the mechanistic lifeless realities of conventional “drum-machines” because this is a performance-oriented realtime rhythmic instrument. I am appreciating the Tempest more and more.

Please add MPE in an update to this wondrous machine. It hurts my heart on a daily basis I can’t play my Linnstrument with my Prophet 10. I know for a fact if Dave Smith read this comment he would do something about it. He was a hero that pioneered this industry to what it is today by doing things exactly like what I’m asking. Please follow in his footsteps ❤

Thanks for a great and super helpful video! I was wondering if you also happen to know how to transpose individual layers up or down an octave separate from one another, then save that setting as part of the patch? If for example I wanted a stacked patch with two pads and wanted one of them up an octave. Thank you!

Hi, I'm asking for some advice: I have a "virus c", "prologue" and "subseq35" but I would like to buy and have a Sequential in the setup and I'm undecided between Take 5 (polyphonic) and Pro 3 (monophonic but with 3 filters). What do you recommend?

I expected this from Moog, but Sequential did a great job on this poly synth with a Moog filter.
