This flute is not made of polymer, but of a wood called grenadilla. Grenadilla is a hard and dense wood, which makes a clear, bright, and rich tone.

She turns the pages of the electronic device by pressing a pedal at her feet. There is a LED light on the pedal's mechanism which was interfering with the filming, so we covered it with tape.

@@miz_flute Thanks...please tell me what the device is. I play traverso and occasionally have difficulty turning pages. That sonata is both beautiful and long and hard and has page turns

There are many types of page turner pedals available. In her case she uses the Donner’s Page Turner.

Thank you for your comment. The first movement has some freely playable sections, so it can be difficult to know what to do. I watched Rachel Brown's videos on CZcams. Really nice! But I couldn't find her CPE Bach's concerto.

this sonata is originally written for the violiin sonata in G minor D.37.6 but sounds great in both instruments

This is one of the few pieces of Italian sonata for flute, and I like it!

Ich habe das von dir empfohlene Blockflötenkonzert von Katja Beisch gehört. Ich fand es von ganzem Herzen eine wunderbare Leistung. Im zweiten Satz diktierte sie dem Orchester das Tempo. Das war sehr natürlich und wirkte daher nicht störend. Telemann war ein Komponist, der die Eigenschaften der Blockflöte sehr gut kannte. Daher komponierte er viele Stücke, die sowohl zum Hören als auch zum Spielen Spaß machen. Ich empfehle das Konzert für Blockflöte in C-Dur von Telemann, gespielt von Rei Inoue. Er ist ein Preisträger des Wettbewerbs in Magdeburg. (Rei Inoue, Telemann: Recorder Concerto in C major, TWV 51:C1) Vielen Dank für die nützlichen Informationen.

@@miz_flute I'm an amateur flautist and used to have a baroque group (fl, ob, vln, vln, vc, hpschd) that met at my house here in Wales. I lived in Japan for 12 years, and have been to Chino: I climbed up to Yatsugatake and Iyôdake with my father-in-law in about 1998.

What a coincidence that you enjoy baroque music, and have the experience of mountain climbing in Chino! There is a small music hall with excellent acoustics in the Chino highlands, and we visited there from Tokyo and hold small concerts every summer.

Amateur sources from the Latin verb Love, and the artist obviously loves the music, and I judge as fine or in some cases finer than professional flute players. Bravos due all performers. Refreshing, too, is the absence of Archlute, Double Bass, Lute additions… that clutter the performances, and thankfully a harpsichord instead of a continuo organ.

Sorry for the late reply. Allegro assai is typically played at a very fast tempo, but it's possible that it was interpreted as moderate at that time.
