My sister Emma and I traveled to Denmark in August 2019 to discover the homeland of our Danish ancestors, the Olsens, who immigrated to America in 1868. We explore the city of Odense, and the tiny countryside town of Andebølle where our Great-Great Grandfather was born.

I realise that this video was uploaded nearly 5 years ago now. I actually used to live in your ancestors house (from 2002 to 2017) and was also responsible for the many renovations that took place in that time; e.g , new roof, new windows, the fence along the road, and much more indoors. I did this to play with my school, I was a narrator and some other little roles with speaking parts and this was the best play I have ever seen! Evreything was so smooth, well said, and well done! 11/10 the best show I’ve ever seen! ❤🌹

For high schools looking to produce beauty and the beast musical make sure you send in requests before the end of December this year. Next year there will be a revamped musical package for this show on MTI.
Welcome to Denmark 🇩🇰. The Immigrant archive in Aalborg (search for "udvandrerarkivet", they are online) or local archives here may have additional information, that could be interesting. Some of it maybe even digitalized/online. Thatched roofs in Denmark are traditional, but also dangerous because of the fire risk, especially on New Year's Eve. Which could be the reason for switching to glazed tiles. Family history can be interesting - for example, one of my ancestors found out, that her ancestors was one of the Spanish soldiers that came to Denmark during the Napoleonic wars. At that time, from 1802-1814, Spanish men in Denmark were probably very exotic in a country where only a few left their region or even town/parish. So they fathered many children while staying here.

WHy does every school production of every show have way too many people in it, and all the dancing looks the same?
Because they want to include as many people as possible, and also some people may be sick so having more people allows for people to fill in. And the dances all look the same because the choreographers often take moves from other versions. The more people you have the more help you have and the more funding you might have, plus a stronger singing ensemble.
