The name of the Pyrenees cf Pirin mountains where this song is from. The Ebro River, the old nane of the Maritsa river in Bulgaria, also archeological evidence

@@robertolang9684the divisions scythians, thracuans etc are a Western invention. They are the same people. Mokdova didn't even exist as a country until 1991. The population there is Bulgarian mostly. Modern day population of Bulgaria , Romania and Moldova is genetically the same

@@user-uk1bi4fp4z They're probably thinking of the scales and the drum. There is a presence of makams in Bulgarian folk music most notably makam Hijaz so there is some influence from the east, just as there is some influence from the fact that BG is in Europe, which is why our music sounds significantly different than actual Middle Eastern music. And music from elsewhere in Europe outside of the Balkans. Bulgaria is at a cultural crossroad that makes it unique. :)
