I-7 4790k at 4.7ghz, stock GTX 980. Flown with the TM Warthog throttle and stick, Saitek rudder pedals. Using Trackir for the view. All helicopter settings are on advanced setting(except for the gauges showing) and max graphics setting on ARMA. Getting between 50-60 FPS, I have the v-sync on so may be getting more than that if my monitor supported it.

Pedro Amaral I know at the time I made these video the homing functionality wasn’t fully implemented. Home mean to home in on a frequency. Not an actual home waypoint.

Subbed. I know all your DCS videos (at least the UH1 tutorial ones) are old as dirt, but I've found them very informative. I'm trying to learn the huey, but I really have a lot of issues learning it. Vids like this help out, though.
Hi Jojo, I hope you don't mind me commenting again on your video . I'm really hoping you could help me out with some tips and Technics to achieving these smooth graphics . I have the New GTX 2080 graphics card, a top of the lines Intel chip and memory plus windows 10. plus i have orbix and Rex clouds . The aircraft and clouds look amazing but my scenery is still blocky and jagged. can you help?
what resolution are you running? are you using AA? It's been awhile but i believe I was running 1080p with all the AA maxed out. If you're running at 4k then you shouldn't need the additional AA enabled.
if there is a server message, that someone requires SAR and there is a beacon with a given freq. eg. 510 kHz ... how do I fly to that beacon?

I hated the Huey when I first got it I didn't understand the physics of how helicopters work or even the four factors to flight. Lift vs weight. Drag vs engine power once I got my head around that the huey is by far one of my favorite modules and I even learned how to fly the black shark with professional flight mode. This tutorial is great and it's very cool to see how little collective is needed once you are in the transitional lift . Great tutorial
is the RETRAN function (AN/ARC-131 VHF FM) simulated? manual says you need 2 FM radios(only 1 installed on huey?!) with 3~MHz divergence...
jNS278 as I understand it, it's used as a cross band repeater of sorts. Not only is it not simulated we don't have real comms in the sims. The various aftermarket voice apps I'd think could build it in. Really only useful if you're out of range of a transmission source.

+chidragon60 If you own an unlocked CPU, a good aftermarket cooler, and a motherboard that has 8+ power phases it's very simple. You go in the bios and increment up your CPU multiplier until you start to see voltage increases. On air cooling you can stay safe around 1.35v with most CPUs. With water cooling you may be able to push a little farther but as most chips get towards 1.5v they tend to get unstable and want to crash anyway. You can use programs like CPUID HWmonitor to log your CPU voltage and programs like BurnInTest to push your CPU to the limit to see how high the voltage goes under max load with your current multiplier settings. For most CPUs like 4790K and 6700K the average safe max multiplier is well known, they'll generally push X46 or so and stay cool with a cheap cooler like Hyper 212EVO.

I've been fighting with triggers all day trying to make a SAR mission for the MI 8 - this worked great!
How'd that work out for you. I'm in Nevada doing the same. I've got a pretty good idea on it all.. And I can do many things. But still learning myself.
So you test it on a game that's incredibly poorly optimized for today's hardware and it's 10 years old.

I like the resolution in your video. I have a 4K Seiki TV which gets 30kz max at 4K. I am using SLI with GTX 970's. Is there anything in the setup menu that i should be checking besides 3840x2160 to achive the best resolution?
The bigger problem would be your 30 fpm limitations. I run duel monitor so my res is weird. When I run single monitor I just use the max, which for me is 1080p
Victor Leonard I just saw your 4k part. I'd sacrifice resolution to the highest you can set your video display so you can get 60 fps.
Troops are on the beach having a good time. They don't want to go back to base.
I have the same rig but only get 20-30fps :-(

Doing well so far. I didn't turn down any settings that I was aware of. Video card still at stock speed haven't gotten into OC'ing that yet.
it looked like the render distance was turned down.

i use 4xaa in game settings and 4sgaa in nv inspector, try this and you'll never see any allias:)

What is your P3D settings? Mine is not passing 30 when Vsync is off then not passing 20FPS when Vsync is on.
Thanks for the heads up, I never realised troops could transmit! I am interested in how you got the troops to transmit on VHF. I tried the unit to transmit command in the Mission Editor, gave them the frequency 40.00 VHF, but couldn't get the direction gauge to tune in. Thanks!

wow, that looks far superior to anything I can achieve with my fsx even with i7-4790k
With add-on's and a little overclock you can get the same results. The video card didn't make a huge difference except in super heavy areas like flight beam denver.
and why is that all the trees in part of europe are kinda of yellow in color
