Still have my first rod and custom my dad gave me when i was 8 yrs old in 1965 I gave some of my large collection of car mags away but still have hundreds left Sad when im gone not having a son my daughter will toss all my mags models tools and slot cars. Things i cherish have no value to the younger generation. Said thing i heard a 16 year old boy didnt know how to change his air filter in his car so his mother had to show home where it was

I have giant 3-ring binders full of hot rod, car craft and other car mags from 1984-2004. I have the binders in milk crates. They fit perfect, and I love to drag out a crate on Sunday mornings and flip through a few issues while watching TV. They are like a time machine of road tests and shootouts.

is that the real deal that the model was based off or is this based off the model? i ask cuz i built that Monogram model back in the mid 80s and took a trip down memory lane tonight to see if they still sell that kit, now came here to see if its real.

As a lifetime fleet mechanic, I was always wondering how 'parts' would be made in space while watching the original Star Trek. All I had to do was wait the best part of 60 years to see the answer! (I'm older that 60 by the way.) I did see Jay has a huge 3D printer at his shop so he's already in a position to fab parts for his fleet of toys! On a similar note, I remember on Star Teck, Scotty with his Tricorder walking up to a wall and stating "Aye Captain - the plasma conduit is behind this wall." (My response was "BS!) Well, 15 or so years ago I purchased a fault isolator that could find a broken wire inside a harness! It had a transmitter I put on one end of the wire that was broken and I held a receiver to listen for the signal to go away. I could locate a broken wire in a harness to within an inch of the break. (Well...shut my mouth.)

They all make the show joe ,amanda does have a great smile, joe is great fabricator along with mike z , shag is a heck of negotiator, it's a great group with a lot of talent, can't forget shorty , I like when shorty calls joe (Jose). I have a 1973 Camaro and a 1963 ford fairlane if I had the money both cars would there.

stop moving the camera rookie

I watched the first episode of the new season last night, and not only was Shorty not there, but no Pompa, no Cato, no Faron, and none of the engine shop guys from next door. WTF happened to everyone?? I mean, I understand things change in business, but I remember Shorty at one point making it sound like him and Joe were partners for life. As much as I love this show and the Martins and their unbelievable work, the episode was kinda boring to be honest. What gives??
