We took a carnival cruise years ago, and it felt like we were being nickeled and dined to death! Did it feel that way? We got a comp Princess cruise (they used my mgm comps to decide what kind of offer) we are going on their brand new ship in January. It is huge and looks amazing!

Never done a cruise so appreciate your vlog. How much time do you typically have for the excursions?

Other than Disney, what are your favorite cruise lines? My husband and I are wanting to go on another cruise but only cruises we have ever been on is Carnival Dream and Carnival Breeze. They are ok but nothing exceptional. I supposedly received a "free" Carnival cruise from Winstar casino but that "free" Carnival cruise was going to cost close to $1,000. My favorite spot on cruise is the casino. Hubby likes to drink soda and is a light drinker. On Carnival, we get free drinks in casino. I only drink tea, bottled water and occasionally a frozen non-alcoholic drink. Due to medication, I cannot drink alcohol. What is your suggestion for a cruise for a senior couple? We do not have passports.

My daughter and I ate at the Italian restaurant on Breeze on a January 2024 cruise and we totally agree with your review. The Italian restaurat was definitely a one and done. I am surprised that restaurant has survived this long. Definitely needs to be replaced. All other food on cruise very good. Loved Guy's burgers, soft serve ice cream and pizza the best.

Hi D&S - Gorgeous beach, love the thatched umbrellas and blue water - very tropical. 🌴 Nice hits in the casino - nice to get free drinks there. You had some great weather (even though it caused you to miss a port). Got to enjoy family time. I'm assuming Carnival is less expensive than Disney. Cuccina looked nice but we were sad to hear it was sub-par. Thanks for a fun vlog guys. Cheers!!!😎🎰🍻

Your Carnival experience was pretty much like mine. It was fine. The food did not leave much of an impression. There are too many options out there. We went with a group of around 35 people, so that made it more enjoyable, just like yours with family. I appreciate you sharing your trip with us! Now hurry up and get back to Vegas. 16 more days for me. 😃

Oh wow this made me miss cruising (BC …before children 😅) we’ve done carnival and RC and we definitely liked RC better . I do have a soft spot for Carnival because that our first cruise , it was our honeymoon and we won a cruise with a balcony stateroom on that trip. Planning on taking a Mediterranean cruise when my daughter graduates…3 more years 😅 Mahalo for sharing 🤙🏽

I love Carnival but the food is not the best. I love Celebrity's food. We are going on Sept. 2 on Royal Caribbean to Alaska. I am looking forward to comparing because I have travelled more on Carnival. It is the perks I get from the casino. Being in Canada, it makes it more expensive to cruise because if I want to go to the Caribbean, we have to fly to Miami or Orlando and living on the West Coast it is a long haul. If I want to pay a lot for airlines then going out of Seattle is an option with less flying time. Looking forward to your next vlog. Hope you had a fantastic time with your family. Congrats on your first Carnival cruise. 🚢 sorry to hear your check in process was unorganized. It looked very chaotic. We had our first ever cruise to Mexico on the Carnival Panorama August 2022 from Long Beach. From what I remembered it was very organized. Carnival cruises can get pretty crowded. Angelo and I will be going to Alaska on the crown princess at the end of the month😊. We can’t wait! Love your videos. Enjoy your time with your beautiful family.

Who do you talk to for free drinks after certain casino play? We have bought the Princess Plus for our 2025 British Isles cruise. $60 per day/per person but includes ALL drinks (pop, coffee, water, liquor, etc), crew gratuity, deluxe deserts everyday (like your delish donut) 2 gym class (pass!) etc. I thought that was quite reasonable. Is it hard not to compare $$$$ Disney cruise to $$ Carnival?

Carnival Breeze! I've been on her and the Dream several times. Great ship but the Carnival food is very poor. I do like the BBQ, burgers and pizza though. Did you notice that much of the food in the buffet is the same as the dining room? I mostly stick with NCL now, and I don't cruise in the summer or major holidays. Hope no one got sick. Lots of C going around now.

My husband and I love cruising. We've got one coming up in October out of Port Canaveral with 4 other couples. Should be a blast. Then, next April we'll sail out of Galveston on the Carnival Dream. Neither of us have been to Galveston but, we're looking forward to it. I'm surprised you've sailed on Disney! They don't have casinos, right? I'm a casino girl at heart, hence watching your videos. I can't imagine a cruise with no casino! On the Carnival ships I highly recommend booking in the Havana area. It's a bit more expensive but, generally you'll be sharing the Havana pool and hot tubs with only 3 or 4 other people a time. And no kids under 16 or 18. It seems the kids take over the hot tubs on the Lido deck pretty regularly. I'm sure you enjoyed yourselves. Will you do another Carnival, ya think? Thank you for sharing.
