i like the Idea of this-- using the Video Game to re-enact actual shows...i wish that the more modern games had a 'hidden feature' for their Create-A-PPV (or PLE or whatever they call it now), where if you type in the specific date/time/location, the game would auto-fill That Show's card...like, if you made a Wrestlemania match, that took place on April 1, 2001, in Houston TX, then the game would "recognize" that youre trying to book Wrestlemania X-7, and will load the card like that (starting with a Tag Match-- X-Pac + Justin Credible vs Steve Blackman + GMSexay; then an IC Title match where Jericho defends against Regal; etc etc)...im still unsure on how i want the Matches to go though, maybe just leave it as an Option: Full Accuracy (move-for-move, honestly not my recommendation), Main Details (will at least have the correct Winner, though the Context may be different; a DQ instead of a Submission finish, for example), or Complete Rewrite (just let the CPUs RNG their way through the match)... ...obviously, the N64 didnt have the processing power or the online connection for this kinda stuff, but i mean, why not for the 2K games, nowadays? they wanna market their "Legends" so much, but how about what MADE them Legends in the first place?

you know for a video game in 1998 about 1998 this was remarkably to date. Like Macho Man wasnt in the wolfpac anymore but thats about it. All the nwo roster was right there as you were wtahcing it on tv that monday.

There used to be a cheat where when you see Bischoff and hogan part of that intro video, press the a button and all the belts become silver

I had 4 permanent health bars burned into my 60 inch projection screen back in the late 90s from No Mercy. That should tell you how much we played that game. 😅 This one was a banger too

I used to own this cartridge along with Virtual Pro Wrestling 2, Wrestlemania 2000 and WWF No Mercy. It's all I played on the N64 with my cousins or by myself. Great memories, they don't make wrestling games like this anymore, where fun instead of flashy graphics is the focus.

My childhood! Love to see people still playing this game. I used to watch AI fights for hours.
