I ran the exact same time in my FG with a 2.1 60ft. Wasn’t able to build enough boost in 1st. But if you foot brake it in 2nd you’ll be able to build up some boost. Don’t blame me for box damage but 😂 good luck
Man the ZF isn’t super happy and I’ve retuned the motor with a new fuel system since this video so it’s 456kw not 380 and like 1200nm so she isn’t loving life but I’ll go back and see if we can get that 10

In this video it was 386kw at the wheels on the 20’s so at the hubs say 400 ish I would guess

those aren't crazy important, more so if youre going to be hitting the limiter and such, theyre definitely not hard to do with the engine out though
I don’t think it has them it has new chains but I personally haven’t so I would assume they’re stock
Thats about right with your figures with those upgrades my LS1 cammed with OTR mafless tune 1 3/4 pacemaker extractors into full 3 inch system makes 270 RWKW through an A4 Auto and 3200 convertor

good plug and play options are j3 type stuff that can be easily reflashed at a dyno, u will still get a gain but not as much as if u set it up specifically for that engine config
Yeah we do J3 and memcals and all the old school stuff it has a time and place for certain cars

4 points - 1st is it should be a 75-85 viscosity oil, NOT an 85-140! 2nd is that it's over-filled! 3rd is that both those things will increase viscous drag and cause the diff' to run hotter than the correct oil and level would have. 4th is that the apparent power didn't reflect that because the axles and wheel assemblies were turning slower, so less parasitic power losses there.

With the tunes you do for these diesels, do have files for certain cars which you just bang into these and adjust small parameters to suit? Or do you just go from scratch each time?
Nah every car has its own software / hardware coding essentially so you have to modify it and make a map case by case using that ecus original data otherwise the factory ecu will have a fit and essentially lock you out, plus every car is different they need to be checked and tuned on a dyno to make sure that it’s happy for its current situation and components. Anyone who flash tunes using a base tune that was done on a dyno once is just being careless and doing their customers an injustice really and at the same time happy to charge for a “tune”

Nice work fellas. If you want the sh*t-hot traffic light to traffic light acceleration, 3.9:1 is a good choice. The reliable all-rounder is 3.08:1 (or thereabouts). Any diff with a 2 as the first number might give highway cruisability and fuel efficiency, but will tend to be a bit of a slug.
100% it’s still good in 6th at crusing speed the 2:0 ratio is junk
NA with boosted design and it’s a cheap China knock off that are badly designed.

whats the best intake for an n/a barra/intech? got 4480 extractors, j3 chip, hi flow cat and a redback 2.5inch exhaust. what should i do with the intake?

intech, just put the territory plastic between air box and throttle body, decent gain, was gunna get an xr6t/tickford snorkel from front to airbox too. if im doing it wrong please advise? Interesting.... I seen a rajab video with basically the same type of plenum (obviously their own design) and it was said to have gained 20kw before tuning! What type of intake is on this car? Perhaps rajab do better testing?
ive always wanted to see the rajab one tested by third parties, although its for the b series market if it makes gains for fg's it could be the next upgrade
Yeah I think the factory one with longer runners would always perform best they have no real restriction from factory not n/a in the intake side at least
those long runners are one of the reasons an intech/barra pulls hard, longer intake runner = more torque down low. ideal for a stroker engine in n/a config@@RIDLEYSAUTOMOTIVE
Id like to know what the highest rwkw has been archived with an N/A barra. Also curious how much can be gained from a tune on an N/A. My ba xr6 has kelford cams, extractors with full exhaust and bigger air intake. The cams give it more torque than normal but it runs rich as and i sware it still has more un tapped power in it. Would my next step be getting it tuned?

Just the 4 speed auto. 218-A cams, Lumpy idle, it's alot happier to rev and it bounces on limiter better. Still need to get it tuned but it has more torque than with the stock cams and runs great apart from running rich. I've got a video on my page doing a doughnut in it, you might be able to hear it ok.
It has a P plate, why did it leave without a pop n crackle tune?
