    • @MustangSN95
      @MustangSN95 Před 9 měsíci

      The rear ones are the most difficult. You can choose to remove the entire hub (this includes the chrome shaped holder of the badge. Or just manually peel the badge of (destroying it in the process for sure). Best advice is to use a heat gun - the rear is glued on. But monitor the heat on the trunk as not to do damage.

    Do the canbus resistors not get hot in the light unit ?

    • @MustangSN95
      @MustangSN95 Před 9 měsíci

      There is a resistor modulator unit within these lights. That being said, LEDs tend to not run hot in general as they have a low Wattage compared to halogene pr filament.

    Don't cut the rivets. Just push the center pins through and then just pop them out. Then just fish the three pins out of the fender if they don't just fall to the ground. Then to reinstall, push the rivets into place and knock the pin back in to secure it

    • @MustangSN95
      @MustangSN95 Před 5 lety

      I will agree with using solder and heat shrink. But using crimp connectors - I would rather place the two wires on top of each other and cover them with cotton candy. Anyway - The wires were soldered and the electrical tape used to prevent shorts - and it still works... But thanks for your input.

      Hey Man, I love the look of the E91. I think the only one that looks better of the E9X range is the E93. If I can give you some tips - If possible buy the 320d rather - they have loads of torque (for a 2lt) and they are light on fuel. If you are looking for a petrol (gasoline model) - rather go for a 325i - those are special and not as common as my 320i. Also - DEFINITLY try and purchase one with the m-sport kits They look so much better than the stock line and trim.

    • @MustangSN95
      @MustangSN95 Před 5 lety

      Too Long - *personal opinion* I would estimate between 10 - 20 secs; I will be doing a review video - this is probably the BIGGEST drawback of the product. I usually start the car, put on my safety belt (wait for the dash lights to complete start up) and put it in reverse, by then the Eonon is still starting - but the reverse camera and footage immediately appears though - all be it without my trajectory lines...

  • @daniellasko6398
    @daniellasko6398 Před 6 lety

    So these will only fit if you install them the way you did? I’m looking at a technic harness that will keep from having to make any mods or cut any wires or drill any holes but it seems the depth of the speakers is bigger than the OEM speakers. Did you try mounting them in the OEM fashion?

    • @MustangSN95
      @MustangSN95 Před 6 lety

      Hi Daniel, Yes I did. Your first issue is that the OEM speaker have a 3 bolt pattern space 120 Degrees. The Rockford Fosgate Speakers, like most aftermarket units, have a 4 hole (90 Degree spaced) bolting pattern. The usual way around this would be to use an adapting plate - but the biggest issue is the space. I mounted the RF speakers with the face flange on the car-inside side (if that makes sense) - not on the rear of the panel. Even sou space is minimal and if you catch a wire behind the speaker when you put the panel back you can hear it scraping the window when you open/close it. I am 100% with you on not drilling into my car door - so take my word for it when I say I wouldn't do it if it wasn't worth it - and I have done it to my E91 and E93. Hope this helps JP

    • @synonyx
      @synonyx Před 6 lety

      Attempted the same myself, on pretty much any 4" you will need to top mount them so they don't hit the window. I had to top mount my JL's after I ran into the window hit issue. But, better to pay $160 vs. $600-$700 for car specific setups. The JL c2 4" I installed sound great!

    • @minecrafterfun
      @minecrafterfun Před 5 lety

      I mounted 4" cerwin vegas that had the same four mounting points like the speaker in this video and I designed an adapter that I 3d printed so I could mount them almost as the OEM without modify any panels or so. Works great!

    • @MustangSN95
      @MustangSN95 Před 6 lety

      Hi, I had issues inserting a disc the first time - 2 things to watch out for: 1. Did you remove the 2 screws ontop of the unit - as instructions stated? 2. The CD has to be inserted at an upward angle (this was my issue) but once you have inserted it the first time you will get the hang of it.
