I have experience with the Busch+Muller Eyc headlight, dyno powered and e-bike version (also on a Larry vs Harry Bullitt). Looking at the PDW Kepler, I am disappointed too. Nearfield light is needed just as much as downrange illumination, and this is proof that Lux (measured at the beam's hot spot) and overall Lumens do not tell the whole story. That said, if you need to upgrade from a lamp weaker in output than the Eyc, which sits in the median of what's out there, the Kepler *is* more readily available in the US, and the price is attractive. Not every bike shop *even knows* about the European spec lights, or the German StVZO vehicle lighting standard they must comply with.

That was great to visualize! How do you think it will go if I bent the angle the other way, so same way you have it but I had to bend it upwards and the upright edge has to compress? I'd like to build a sled for my son, and this is what I was going to use. Thanks.

this is not the way to do it. the way to do it is to get some shrinking pliers, and pinch the vertical 'leg'. the heat is doing nothing. that bend was made entirely with your own strength. by the time you heat it enough to actually help the bend, you are just a few degrees from melting point. its aluminium, not steel

There are screws on the end, that slow getting that glass out much easier.

Your vid', very much, hit the proverbial nail on the head and near-matched my objectives. I plan on securing flexible Solar Panels to my van-roof utilizing the already drilled & threaded channels sited on each side. Only the downward curve towards the front is what poses the bending-issues which you succeed in addressing. Well done!

Hole saw in the wood at the ends of the board. Thin can use a C clamp to draw into the curve. Still dealing with shrinking vs stretching.

just replaced all the ducting in my fifth wheel with same furnace...in the installation manual it says sf35 requires 48 sq in of ducting...here you only have 25. have you had issues with it overheating?

Awesome. I have to bend the aluminum angle/channel for the trailer corners so I hope it works towards the angle instead of away from it. IOW, the side will have to compress instead of stretch!

I graciously thank you for your video it is the only one that has the same charger as my ebike which is a Trek dual sport plus. I have 12,000 km on the battery and bike and I know that the cells are strong when I took it to the bicycle store here in town they wanted to ship it out to get diagnosed bicycle, charger, battery and all for God knows how long. On top of that it would have cost me $75 before tax just to get that diagnosis done and lose my bicycle for an unknown amount of time. I thought it had something to do with the battery management system within the battery that was causing me issues but it wasn't thanks to you and your video you have saved me a lot of money and anxiety. I'm going to be doing another CZcams video on my channel soon when I do another review on my bike and I will be sure to give a shout out to your Channel when I do so. Thanks again👍🇨🇦

I would like to ride my ebike to banks state vernonia trail once I install 2 more batteries on my ebike for a total of 80ah+. Can you link me a map on the safe roads you used to get to the beginning of banks from the rock creek trail area? Also where are the outlets at for ebike charging along the banks trail?
