One thing thats very important and people skip, is theme. Since the main character is a fox, base your theme on that, maybe the goal has something to do with stealing chickens from secure places...?

Lol as a freelance writer who's just starting in game dev with no programming experience, I might be a little TOO obsessed with the planning, worldbuilding, lorecrafting, and quest creating process. When I heard about the existence of GDDs, I literally swooned 😹

Honesly love the look of the game so far The trees look beatiful especially with the different colours and falling leaves hope you see this to the end

Gotta be real, I'm the complete opposite type of person. I absolutely love the process of designing, writing, and crafting a perfect GDD, I just find the entire process so unbelievably satisfying to think about player psychology and behavior, and design mechanics around that, but programming is just entirely outside my wheelhouse...
Game Design is like "What do you want the player to do and how does it work?", coding is like "no, but HOW does it REALLY work?"
This describes me too! I do worldbuilding, quest creating, and storytelling for ttrpg creators, which is what inspired me to look into game dev because I wanted to bring my own ideas to life. But coding? Yeah, I haven't done that since Myspace 😹

It was me when my friend invited me to test his indie game:

How long did this take? It seems in the video like it took a few days but in my experience this would take weeks, so how long did it actually take? Defenitly think I'll be back for part 2!

Looking great! I found my eyes drawn to the grass, it has a magical and slightly psychedelic aura to it that I love. I think it is the way it moves combined with the bright colouring underneath - was the grass made by following the same fluffy tree shader tutorial, or your own testing?
