Okay so here's the thing... I think I love the war master series even more than I like regular doctor who XD Seriously though Jacobi's master has become my favourite villain in all of who bar none

I agrue in the long turn it was a victory. Daleks now exist in universe which has only three timelords actively fighting them. In terms of temporal warfare, the Daleks are practically unmatched at this point. They sre gradually regaining lost terrotry, and are on their way towards becoming the dominant empire.

This is set before Jackie went to Pete's World. Just after 9's ended and 10's started. I actually really love the pairing of Jack and Jackie as their both massive flirts 😂
Derek Jacobi is THE Master is my opinion. He's so brilliant in the role. So manipulative and calculating. So pure evil in how he destroys people's lives and leaves you emotionally devastated, but wanting more. I do love Missy, she's my second favorite, but no other Master can match Derek Jacobi's pure evil Master.

The thing I love the most about this theme is how much it sounds like the theme of a typical “alien invader”. Like, flying saucers, laser weapons, all that jazz And somehow it still fits The Master to a T. At his core, he is an alien threat aiming to make the whole of reality kneel.

The Young Master (young man on the right). A version of him that's basically just left Gallifrey and isn't too evil, being against pointless killing.

Agreed as much as I enjoyed the audio I did have trouble telling when it was Simms talking, when it was Macqueen talking, when it was decayed talking and when it was best master Jacobi talking. Visuals would have made it better.
@@changvasejarik62 Yeah, I really struggled trying to figure out who was who and had to look up the plot to figure it out -aha. I spent way too long thinking Crispy was Jacobi on the planet, but then realised he was being WAY too nice to Kitty to be Jacob. Also, I think Simms is the one talking at 0:37 (??), but I really can't bloody tell anymore. I need a full transcript istg

Low key Dalek Time Strategist cutting through the waffle to check if Rassilon is actually going to do anything. Good thing Daleks don’t have a spine, because the Time Strategist would be crippled from carrying the entire Dalek time war on it’s back.
I lowkey feel for the Dalek Time Strategist. Davros is just an insane lunatic, while the Emperor is an egomaniacal, narcissistic cunt. The Time Strategist is the only one who is halfway competent at being a Dalek, and is penalised for approaching the war with anything resembling common sense.
They should make some of those audios into real fully fleshed episodes
Derek Jacobi makes a really good master. He should've had more screentime.
I'm glad that Big Finish has given him more chances to shine as the character at least.

Im pretty sure the dialogue in Partying of Wars implies tge Dalek Emperor only saw himself as God when he went insane making new Daleks AFTER the Time War. The Doctor was shocked they had a concept of Blasphemy
To be fair, I don’t think the Doctor has met the emperor face to face in the time war audios. It’s usually the Dalek Time Strategist who ends up being his main rival.
