Here's I Asian tips for if you want to marinate carp overnight you should used soysauce put alot of garlic and ginger and one tablespoon of ground black peppers or if you can find some lemon grass it'll be much more better you can even cooked it skin on. but here in Philippines we make it sweet and sour we depp fry it with breeding and put the sweet and sour sauce.

Hi Brendan, I worked with 2 Czech guys. Every Christmas they would go carp fish, Stick them in a bath tub for a week (changing the water each day). Then Bake them for Christmas dinner. Never tasted them, but they did it year after year

Common carp aren’t even native to the USA. They were brought over from Europe because they were considered prized eating fish. It’s just over time we actually realized our native are better. Comparable in taste but easier to filet (walleye and perch)

Great video!!! But if you want people's honest opinion on how something tastes, dont tell them your opinion first. People are prone to agreeing and are susceptible to suggestion such that youre creating biased results when you do that

You forgot to do the follow up video when you catch a carp from a crystal clear lake.

You need to keep the fish live in clear water for ~1 months and feed it nothing or very little in order to improve the flavor. There’s a trip to feed cap a special diet to improve the meat texture as well - but very complex and probably not worth it.

ive done some experiments with carp. and one is cooking just the dark red mest and just the white meat and blind taste testing it. it doesnt taste any different.

Only an idiot would ever keep a carp. You should release the fish. In fact, its a horrible fish to eat.

Its the worst tasting fish you can eat.
