First time watching your channel. Absolutely loved it that is a monster saw 😊
Well, I sure appreciate the kind words. I hope I keep you interested in the upcoming content. Thank you for watching and commenting
Thanks!
Dennis, I sure do appreciate the donation to the channel. You are a kind man. Thanks for watching and commenting also
If you speed up video by X2 you sound like a New Yorker! Lol 😂 AWSOME VIDEO SIR!!!!!
Lol. Oh my! I've never been mistaken for a Yankee before. I went to Hawaii when I was 16 yrs old and shut a restaurant down. I gave the waitress my order, and she said hold on a minute. She returned with all the cooks and other waitresses, and with all them around my table looking at me, she said, "Okay, go ahead and tell me what you want again," lol. Thanks for watching and commenting
Lol. I just saw your name is Victor. That just reminded me I went to NY one time and a funny thing happened from a result of my accent. I'll tell it in my next video. Appreciate you watching
@@templehillsawmill1748 Victor the 3rd my son the 4th. People call me Vic and we call him Vicky. 👍🏼
Nice sawing Mr. McCoy and Mother would be proud
I would hope so. Never met the Mr. but I did Ms McCoy and she was really nice to me and my family. She comments on here once in awhile. I'm sure she shakes her head sometimes at what I get into. Lol Thanks for watching and commenting
Thats a lot of saw mill there and that log turner is awesome. Your comments at the end of the video are very true and refreshing, Justified by the BLOOD OF JESUS is so true. Thanks for show.
Jake, these log turners are a back saver for sure. I wouldn't want to mess with those guys who turn these logs by hand. I appreciate your mentioning your favor of sharing a few verses at the end of my videos. Thanks for watching and commenting
Do you experience problems with not centering the pith on those beams? I have been wanting to cut some but have read mixed reviews on what people do. Some swear that you must center the pith, others swear that no part of the pitch should be in the beam.. Do you have any thoughts?
Daniel, that is a great question. I wish I was qualified enough to answer it for you. I'll say this, I'm sure it matters if the lumber or beams are being used for high-quality structures. The boy who wanted these beams said he is going to use them to drive his pickup truck onto so he has more room to service it from underneath. Now, those beams sat out at the mill for a few days before he came after them and they were flat and square. I know who can give you an educated answer, Eddie Horvath, "Spending Time With Eddie " on CZcams. Thanks for watching and commenting
How many HP to drive that 60" blade?
I'm pushing her to about 200 HP. More than what I need, but some of the Oak needs it. Thanks for watching and commenting
Be nice to get a roof/shed for that saw. Good luck, what type motor does your saw use sounds like a Detroit 2 clycle but utube is not reliable? Ray Stormont
Yes, it is the Dietroit, Ray. It's a 671. It's not an attractive motor, but the ole fella I got it from had been through it not too many hours ago. Thanks for watching and commenting
I belive they were both jackson mills as I belive yours is. He later went on to start manufacturing a very good swingmill called the Brand X very nice mill for smaller logs.
I bet they were nice mills. This one is a Frick Mill an O1C I appreciate you sharing
Unless I miss my guess you are running a right hand full hydrulic mill many years ago he had two of them onne was lefthand very good fast mills worked your ass off offbearink.
If a man is running this for a living, then yeah, you will work your butt off. Luckily, I'm not running it for the money. It's just a hobby. Thanks for watching and commenting
Two very nice beams you got out that big log . Enjoyed the video .
They sure were nice. Everything was working well that day. Thanks for watching and commenting
Working with weathered rusted uncovered junk is going to get someone hurt.
Thanks for watching and commenting
Nope....I thought it was bad enough Old Boy reaching that close to the blade at 9:05 to 9:12....that little escapade at 13:06 to 13:12 was it for me....stopped watching!
I'm glad you watched as long as you could. Please come back for another attempt. Thanks for commenting
That is about as crooked as Congress is.
Now, that is crooked!
That's one big, ugly, unhappy, and hateful stick of wood. But it did give up some right nice boards. 😊😊😊
Yeah, Robert, it made some right nice siding.
Wish I had a big hydrolic mill .that's the old mcoy mill ant it
I've got a 56"
@timriddle3001 yes sir it is Tim. I bought it from the family in early 2022. I was just out of ideas for a title on this video, so I was just click baiting with the largest saw. Just funning. I like your channel and sawing. Thanks for watching and commenting
@@timriddle3001 One drawback to the Automatic Mills are you have to have help. I think it's easier to mill alone with the Manual Mills. I appreciate you watching
I felt sorry for the second offbearer he got his butt run off.
He's a hard worker. Thanks for noticing
The question is, what else was going on that wasn't seen.
@@robertgreen8695 thanks for watching
The 60 inch came in handy today good job again
I appreciate it, as always, Mr. John. Thanks for watching and commenting
Nice camera locations, great sawing, thanks!
I appreciate the feedback. I was hoping someone would say if they liked it as much as I do. Thanks for watching and commenting
How come the big guy is not helping the small guy take the wood away?
I had told him to. The idea was he would be ready at the saw, resulting faster and safer sawing. I, too, noticed while watching the video that he did have time to help out more, but sometimes you just don't see stuff until watching a recording. And keep in mind we are only sawing eight to ten logs usually. Thanks for asking, watching, and commenting
like your two camera views 👍
I was hoping I'd get some feedback on that. I was wondering how folks liked it. Thanks for watching and commenting
hi there good sawing , i have a new 60 ,never even put it on . maybe later , best to all john
I'd like to get another sometime. Thanks for watching and commenting
Great sawing today. Your last log is the type of logs we saw all day long crooked pallet logs you want to start sawing them logs with the bow up or down first
I appreciate the tip. I sure will. Thanks for watching and commenting
That's a big old blade alright but how much of a cut does it make? I watch every one of your videos all the way through and sometimes more that once!
I'm fairly certain it will saw 24 inches. I do appreciate you watching and commenting every week
Hey buddy I really enjoy your videos and seeing your progress over the last two years getting it dialed in. Wish you could talk chad into bringing Mary Ruth up to catch a few boards and reminis about the days gone by. Still find myself watching Mike's videos and sure miss seeing him and her together. Take care my friend.
@johnnysharpe3812 At the time when I was moving the mill, the McCoys said they would like to visit one day. I would really like for them to do that. They have an open invitation, but I have often thought that if they do, I wouldn't video it for youtube. I wouldn't feel comfortable "profiting" by inviting them to my house. They can upload a video if they would want. But, anyway, I do need to invite them again, maybe after it cools down some this fall. Thanks for watching and commenting
Largest Saw Blade On CZcams .......................Yup, you beat Galicic!!!!!!!
Lol. I really just couldn't think of an interesting title for the video. Click bait, ya know. Thanks for watching and commenting
New to the channel. Like the 'down home' approach AND the fact that you include Christianity! ❤
@aporter701 Well, I appreciate the kind words. I'm really glad to hear you appreciate some encouraging scripture. Thanks for watching and commenting
@art1muz13 Yeah, but Mark is happy with his 56.
@robertgreen8695 I was just fooling around with titles is all.
Nice work. Your saw must be running great if the beams came out exactly.
It may be rusted and pieced together, but I'd put it up against any other mill on CZcams
You make very good videos. Don’t put yourself down like that.
Thanks Ed. I appreciate you watching and commenting
Been watching, enjoying the videos - also watch @TheEddie1014 and I wonder if he's seen 'Muddy Oak' :)
I appreciate it. That ole Eddie is a good one. Thank you for watching and commenting
FFS.. turn your outfeed rollers on.. it's not fucken rocket science. and fit a wedge to pop up at the end of the cut.
Sometimes, it can be overwhelming because I didn't take "Special Ed" classes like you had to take, ausglock40sw.
Why don't they debark and make cants before making lumber??
Don't own a debarker
good job Shannon nice beams!
Thanks, Mark
nice job shannon you got that mill running good
Yeah, that was a fun log to saw. I appreciate it
The camera positions are great !!!
Thank you. I appreciate it
Just because you ain't been at the sawmilling game as long as some others don't mean squat. You learn by doing. Anyone who says otherwise are fools and are dangerous. Experience is gained by waking up every day and see what is going on around you. It is also the knowledge gained by personally doing things on a daily basis and by seeing the results of what others do. Good or bad, we learn from our environment and each other. This is how I understand things to be.
Thanks, Robert.
Proverbs 22:1 so very true! Awesome video and the more you saw the better you will become.
I appreciate it. Yes, learning and improving a little as time passes by
Very nice!
Thank you Arkansas
Nice video! Great way to start my Sunday☀️ Loved the proverb it was a very peaceful way to end the video. Liked the meaning behind it.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Good job John. Don't underestimate your self.
I appreciate it, Charles. Thanks for watching and commenting
hi there real good sawing , best to all .john
I appreciate it, have a good day
Judging from the heart that big old popular looked like it might have been nearing its final days, but sawed down, sawed up and placed in a good home it can last another few hundred years.
I sure hope it will.
That outbfeed is gonna hurt someone if yuns dont McGiuver it or something
That's okay. Help ain't hard to find.
I dont know what more beat; the teeth on that blade of that poor undersized Detroit diesel. Goodness, aint you guys ever heard of Restore? You would see a noticeable improvement buy lunchtime or at least after five hours........
We don't start till after lunch doc. Thanks for watching and commenting
Just sayin, sir. It's your profit margin. Restore does not F around. It has proprietary crap in it that fills in scores and scratch marks in the bores. It also says right on the can not recommended for any engine under 50K miles. A body making a claim like that tends to grab folks attention. Your Detroit is a perfect candidate. Just be sure to grab a larger can of the 3 sizes
@doctorcountersteer6580 appreciate your concern. I'm just not that worried about it. But, seriously, please come back and watch the channel. I really do appreciate you watching and commenting
Is that a detroit i here

You guys don't know what your doing
Never said I did. If I'm granted enough time down here, I should be as good as anyone is. I'm learning each time I fire up the ole mill. Thanks for watching and commenting, Faron.
the clutch 😊😊 needs 2 tightened up its not pulling like it should 😮😮 its almost just like the old john deere tractors they would do the same thing they wouldnt pull either they 2 the clutch had 2 tighten again its the way they are 😊😊 OMG 8 5 2O24
Thanks clarence I finally figured that out and tighten it up it run good after that just like a farmall tractor never did like the green had one at one time but got rid of it soon after that got a ford instead thanks for watching and commenting
I like that you are sharing the good with the bad, I'm working on setting up a sawmill myself. *New Subscriber* 🤠
Thanks, Tom. I record it all and just don't care about the ugly comments. If a man sticks his neck out in this hateful world, someone is going to try and cut his head off. But the way I look at it is the more they say the more it helps the video get viewers. Good luck with the mill and thanks for watching and commenting
Great video, good editing!
Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for watching and commenting
Even with the troubles, you still got a lot of good boards out of those logs. As usual, it is good to see and hear you in operation again. Stay safe, happy, hydrated, and healthy. The best for you and your respective families. ❤❤❤
I appreciate it, Robert. We ended up with a lot of nice 2X4's. Thanks for watching and commenting
The question is, how long has that clutch been in there, and when was the last maintenance done on it?
I'm sure it's been a long time. Should be replaced soon
