To people who don't get it.. He is being sarcastic. But that is kind of the beauty of this - that in the American marketplace it can feel impossible to not feel blamed for being overweight. It is a gaslighting affair. We are a people, just like any other from any country, and yet we are statistically more prone to obesity. So, ask yourself, if we (Americans) are genetically similar enough to everyone else - then why are we more obese? The answer should become somewhat clear.. We live in a system that promotes it, that hijacks our baser instincts and promotes obesity. "It's your own damn fault" is the narrative we consume, and that narrative fattens both our bodies and our egos.

When I worked at an investment bank I helped a guy sell his clickbaity left-wing news site. Trump had just lost the election and they had nothing to write about. Revenue had fallen off a cliff. I later learned that before this, the founder had owned a clickbaity RIGHT-wing news site. I don’t consume political content anymore.
