Thanks again for your videos and info!! But, It feels a bit weird to me when I am used to working with accuracy and dwg files inside 3d software! Also I think it looks a bit slower as a process. Why do you prefer this method? What if we have many drawings such as sections, elevations etc?
Hey Simon! Thank you for your comment and your questions. Let's address them. The reason we prefer working by following this workflow is primarily due to topology considerations. By creating a plane over a JPEG image (a workflow we cover in the next lesson of the interior course), it's easier to manipulate and achieve the right topology, rather than extruding DWG lines. This method isn't necessarily wrong, but if your shape is more complex than just a few walls, extruding lines might cause you some trouble. If we have a section, we import a JPEG on the front view, much like we would do if we had to create a furniture 3D model. For elevations, where you want to create an interior render for each one, I highly suggest creating each space in a separate file for better management. If you decide to create 3-4 different interiors within the same file, make sure to organize it perfectly and ensure your RAM can handle it. This approach helps maintain organization and efficiency without changing the overall workflow too much.
