I notice that my Aplos Balance Sheet, for a given fund, shows very different amounts depending on whether I have Report Layout of Cash or Accrual selected, with an existing Accounts Payable waiting to be paid. Can we say that if I have Payables, I had better be using Balance Sheet reports that are Accrual, not Cash?

Liked Apolos, but had a hard time getting the support we needed for online and text donations. Unfortuanately, the 2k plus a year cost of the software is becoming the killer. We just cannot afford the software. I think we will need to go with QB.... for cost and frankly, I think I find it much easier.

I took a job in non profit after working in for profit for years. I start in a few days and dont know shit about non profits. This video made me feel much better. Looks pretty much the same except some extra classifying involved. Thank you so much. Thumbs up. Ill let you know if i get fired

If you don’t have a beginning balance in Aplos, but actually have a beginning balance in bank statement, wouldn’t the roll forward balance in Aplos only show the net between deposits and payments but not the actual balance? How does Aplos accounts for the beginning balance if it were not entered?
