This channel is for people who want a better way to live sober. By sharing our stories and differences with another Alcoholics or Addicts. We create a place to share our recovery, experience, strength, and hope. My story is one of many, and I will do my part to help anyone who needs it. It is my hopes that this channel is simply 1 sober person talking to another. Stories and lessons in recovery and sobriety are great tools to help someone else see that there is hope , and someone else's experiences will help another person suffering alone.
Alcohol and Relationships ! | Recovery #life #recovery #change
There's no need to judge. We judge ourselves more than enough. in this video, we hear about a man who was married to an Alcoholic for 30 years! He is now unable to trust people. He harbors deep seeded resentments, and he holds an Alcoholic responsible for his demise. I understand how he feels, I was the Alcoholic in my relationship, and I committed many of the same trespasses as his ex-wife in his story. I live my amends to my wife, and some days, she still relates many things back to my active alcoholism and the behaviors that came with it! Are you finding yourself stuck in a relationship with someone you can't help anymore? what do you think about his story, and how can you relate?

Drinking used to be normal! #recovery #personalgrowth #soberlifehappylife
zhlédnutí 87Před dnem
In this video, I share my journey from thinking that getting drunk every day was normal to living a sober and fulfilling life for the past 8 years. My old normal was insane - constantly expected to be drinking and bringing back up drinks for others. But now, my new normal consists of getting outside, doing things for others, and finding joy in watching my father-in-law. Join me as I reflect on ...

42 days clean and sober!
Loving it man! 59 days today one day at a time! You’ve inspired me to create content about my recovery. It truly has been a wonderful addition to my Recovery. Thank you for sharing your Recovery with me and the rest of the world! You truly are making a difference! 💯
Wow. Thanks for the video man!. I am a great full recovering alcoholic as well. Im doing sonething similar on my channel. I was 7 years sober back in the states. I'm from Boston. I moved down here to the USVI and immediately started drinking. Just coming off of a 4.5 year bender that almost killed me. Thanks for making these videos. They really help me to stay sober. It's like having a speaker meeting on demand. I also am in AA. Thanks to my program, videos like these and getting backninto therapy, I have managed to put 52 days worth of 24 hours together. But for the grace of god...
Thanks for sharing this; it made sense for sure. I feel it's really hard to live the exact opposite of my old norm from active drinking, but i'm trying to make that shift. Thanks for continuing to support the community by sharing
You look like a thumb
You good dawg?
Good morning! I’m more than good my friend. I’ve been blessed to be living sober and with clarity for over 8 years now! I appreciate you checking in and for being here today. If my experiences resonate with just one person who’s in belief they are alone and that they can’t be helped, then sharing with others makes sense. ODAAT 💯
I’m sorry I’m in active addiction and it turns me into an asshole. I never thought you would actually reply to my message. Doesn’t excuse it but sorry
My fiancee and in-laws drink. Not excessively, But they do. It’s impossible not to be around these people in my life
I had tough childhood 8 boys 2 girls in my family. My oldest brother John died at 2.5 years on my birthday. My mother 20 at the time had complete break down.
I wish this guy would point at me more!
My intrusive thoughts were mostly social anxiety which I used to drink to deal with. I still get it a bit but exercise helps a lot and remembering the times I was sweating and shaking on the bed with a hangover remind me that it'll pass soon enough.
Exercise is such a fantastic outlet! How are you doing today? Thank you for the support and encouragement 💯
Ur strong sir thoughts can never destroy u, u already went through a lot u can beat those thoughts
I appreciate it brother! I struggle sometimes just like anyone else, but with the support of friends like you.. I always come through! ODAAT 💯
Love it man! If you keep doing what your doing you will keep getting what you’re getting! Keep it up brother!
that’s right brother, that’s where im at now.. getting out of the hospital in 3 day, fresh start now, almost lost my wife and 3kids, never gonna touch that bottle again i tell ya. ill start counseling, and aa everyweek. lucky enough, im healthy, liver is just fine, just a little high blood pressure, got med for that now. flush all the bad influence in my life, and keep myself busy at the gym and walking my dog. bring the family see a movie instead of getting drunk, or a good restaurant. life is gonna be good, im positive. family or bottle? family FOR SURE!!!! got scared enough. thanks for your video!! im really gonna try to get you on live stream, take care
Well I think you're right, been there done that, and I'm witnessing a miracle. Wonder if Bill W. knows the great work he did on this planet. 💞🧘♀️💫
Right here with you!! ODAAT 💯
❤❤❤❤❤
Gm Sir nothing should be taken for granted have a good day
How have you been friend? You’re absolutely right, nothing should be taken for granted 💯
Please make more videos biking and talking about your experience and giving advice to others.
Thank you for the support and for the feedback 🤙 I will definitely make more videos in different places sharing my experiences and sharing! ODAAT 💯
I think your spot on!.. how did you cope with the demand voices in your head sayin " go on one drink won't hurt! " I'm grateful for you!
Thanks for commenting and the motivation! In the beginning , I caved into the voices.. I found myself drunk for another 2 years!! It wasn’t until I changed that voice to say “Is another drunk going to fix this?!” And wouldn’t you know it.. the answer was and is always “No”
Spiritual personalities like on CZcams or something start listening to nothing but motivational tapes and videos. Arm yourself with protection meaning internal good stuff. Gotta cut loose some old friends quite possibly. You'll find that's easier than you think. Always be thankful for whatever You happen to be wearing meaning if you have a little be happy that you have that little if you have a ton of s***, be happy you have that Tennis s***, whatever you have you have to be grateful for what it is where it's at right where? You're at that was hard for me because I didn't feel I had anything but boy was I wrong? I always had more than somebody else and a lot less than others of my. Age group, oh well, wasn't gonna cry about it. I mean whoever's listening or reading this. I hope at least 1 person reads it and it helps them solely reason I'm doing it. It's not that I like being on a soap box that much. When the hand of __ reaches out..... yada yada. The great and I don't need to list them, but, you know who they are. It's just because we are the. powerful ones here. There's no fancy man in the sky that's gonna change anything for us. Everything begins and ends with YOU and your heart. Knowing yourself. Waking up to WHO you are, someday Depending on where you're at in your program/ or lifestyle change, not feeling any shame and guilt, forgive yourself for what you ever did....if you did. Look, none of us are pristine I mean just look at all the catholic priests for one. Your heart, your mind coherence, but you gotta want it. Pay it forward a lot. That is a great self-esteem builder. Not only that, that makes your heart like 5 times the size, and it's just the right thing to do. I know it's always so much easier for someone who's already been through the dark Knights of the soul and the sleepless nights, where you're just staring at nothing and hating on yourself. That's when you've got to fulfill your mind with all those positive videos and stuff. Trust me that you'll get hooked on them because they take you away from all that toxic stuff. You're telling yourself? However, it's almost it's easier hearing someone else. I remember being so young in the program and young that I just knew I didn't belong in those rooms. I knew I didn't belong. Anywhere else but a bar or something noh I was like a fish out of water. I saw it until I met just 1 person that was like me. Then 2 then 3 then 4 then 5 and then we were there that gets there. Remember there's only 3 alternatives to that bottle and it's Jails institutions or death institutions. Or death. This chemical is a tough one. We are all powerful over it however. Go in faith for you are tired wasting another day of your life. Love Energy being tossed out to you. You got this. OH!!! So Sorry One more thing, this is not a race. If Johnny down the block gets there an hour or a week or a year before any of you reading. This does good for Johnny. Johnny doesn't pay your bills. Johnny doesn't live in your bubble and Johnny doesn't have the love for all that you have. Johnny We'll do his thing and you do you boo. 💞🧘♀️💫
30 beer aday yeah right
I respect your scepticism! I’m not here to sway anybody, just sharing my experience. ODAAT 💯
Thanks for your positivity. Been reaching out to you tube channels to watch motivational content to help keep me on the right track. I have liver cirrhosis and kept drinking like a fool. Dont want to be that guy. I feel great now on my 3rd night of sobriety after a long relapse but i don't want to look back just keep rucking it and moving forward quietly.
You got this! ODAAT 💯
Coffee is great for the liver. No sugar, creamer etc.
My mother had severe alcohol use disorder for 17 years. It wasn’t until she started Naltrexone that she finally found hope in her addiction and that there was a light at the end of the tunnel. However, she found the miracle drug a bit too late. She passed away last Tuesday unexpectedly. She was only 50. Alcohol has long-lasting physical affects. Although she was working to right the wrongs that 17 years of drinking did to her body, her body kept the score. Although I know she is at peace, I miss her terribly. Please, if you are enduring any moderate to severe form of alcohol withdrawal, seek medical attention. Do not be embarrassed. You will be saving your own life. ❤
Terrible loss, I’m sorry to hear that, my heart and best wishes extend to you and your family! Thank you for sharing and for the encouragement for people to seek help.
I love this man! Thank you for sharing! Whether good or bad If you keep doing what your doing you’ll keep getting what your getting! Keep doing what your doing brother!
I appreciate the motivation and support friend! ODAAT 💯

As a former Atheist, the simple message, that we just have to be willing to believe has helped me tremendously. As well as the idea that it can be a higher power as we have experienced. My god in my mind is beautiful star dust. That is within all of us and has the ability to do amazing things if we just do the next right thing. My stardust is but a guide. And I can find it in everything. I just have to be willing to look. I can find joy in something as simple as the wind now. And feel the sense of ease and comfort that I need to get me through another day.
Yes... my mom introduced me to beer when I was 12. She gave me a beer every time we had popcorn. I know she didn't think she was contributing to my drinking but it did
My father was alcoholic... Let's say far I remember 3 yo
