I always thought that the different dark grey bars was intentional and done to signify this is a special edition train. Probably the best Lego train ever made, certainly the best Lego diesel, with Emerald Beauty being the best Lego train.

The very understated way you say, "A little hard to get". And there I am thinking, "A little hard to get??????? more like "A large hard to get". Where on earth did you find that train? Do you have access to one of those Star Trek replicators?, "Computer, I would like a Santa Fe Super Chief, make it a limited edition one".

Very cool but the correct railroad term for this type of junction is "wye", as in the letter "Y".

These guys are some of, if not my favourite Dutch locos. Shame they arent in active service with the NS anymore. Also a shame that HA is getting sued.

I also want to thank you - I put a fair amount of effort into making sure my GBC modules are lit for World of Lights, and you did a really nice job of capturing them! For the record: My modules were kind of split up, because of the way we decided to do the low tables for kids. My first module, the ancient aqueduct ruins and "haunted hill", starts at 1:33. My next group of modules is the batch lifter, the "future city tower", and the crisscross track, starting at 2:16. My last group of modules start at 3:05, with the second batch lifter, which feeds the quad-screw mover. Finally, we come out of the low section with my S-Curve lifter at 3:20, which then leads into the dark tower bridge at 3:32. (And excellent job catching the balls flying through the down-spiral!)

Great haul! I do love the Eiffel Tower set and it looks amazing lit up but I’d actually prefer to build the Kings Island version, wacky proportions, off spec colour and all for my amusement park. But that’s a project for the future. I need to complete my custom Knott’s Berry Farm Xcelerator first, currently stuck in development hell.

Looks like you got a lot of work ahead, whereas I can only dream of having a layout for my trains. LOL. If you want, check out my Phoenix Train Works Swiss Rolling Stock project. I've a feeling you might enjoy having vintage Swiss cargo cars for that Crocodile like it was before they switched it over to running passenger cars for expedition tours. Though I'm equally liking those dark green passenger wagons you have built for it. XD

The skills in these builders is absolutely incredible, always wondered why LEGO made a line of trains, sure they have the high speed set they release every few years or something, but nothing says everything needs to be a functional set, just sell a fricking caboose or something, just the steam engine, etc. Seems LEGO is mostly interested in doing licensing sets, and when they do go off and try to do their own thing... well we get things like Stuntz, and Dreamzzz, and lets not forget Vidiyo
