20 years ago, I started taping episodes of Roseanne's talk show with the thought that, "someday this is gonna mean something to somebody." There was no CZcams and internet video was in its infancy, so I didn't know whom or what I was doing it for, and it soon became overwhelming (3 VHS tapes a week -on top of all of my other recordings - began adding up quickly). Among my bazillions of videotapes, episodes started getting lost, missed, left unmarked, and presumably recorded over. Before the end of the first season, I finally gave up.
I was in the thick of digitizing my video collection in 2018 when my house suddenly burned down. So what you see is what's survived. Copies of all of my Roseanne videos are on the Internet Archive (the larger mpg files often contain commercials that were cut from the MP4/MKV versions): archive.org/details/@desmondpfeiffer?and%5B%5D=Roseanne

Back when people could sit together, have a conversation despite having different politics and view points. This was back when Donald Trump was sensible. After 2003, he became something else. The success of the Apprentice and all the money, fame and power went to his head. Back when Micheal Moore, a Socialist, Trump a Capitalist and Roseanne a 90's Feminist, 3 people with completely different views could come together and find common ground, kind of like what they used to do on Hardball with Chris Matthews.

Liz Smith was intelligent and dynamic! She used to get books for free and she gave me Howard Stern’s book private parts because she knew I liked him. She also gave me a book it was it on Fred Astaire or Ginger Rodgers I can’t remember because I love old movies.
