While I very much love your aesthetic , consider this. Every man wants to feel comfortable in their home also so maybe think about keeping his black lamp and incorporate it into colors of cream, pink and black. Personally, I think that would be gorgeous and he would get to keep his black lamp and everyone would be happy!
