Bonjour et merci pour cette question, il faut bien évidement sauver les données au préalable, regarde ma vidéo sur la sauvegarde sur MODX+, c'est pareil pour le MODX, sauve un fichier user et un fichier backup : czcams.com/video/BPHfYkJfAmQ/video.html pour remettre les paramètres d'usine tu va dans Utility, Settings, Advanced et tu cliques sur Initialize Advanced Settings, c'est préférable d'utiliser cette fonction qui normalement remet les réglages d'usine sans supprimer les données user, car en rechargeant ça va recharger les paramètres que tu as sauvé au préalable, c'est ce pavé www.moessieurs.com/Montage/images/advanced-j.png il vaut mieux sauver tes données avant au cas où. Si cette initialisation te permet bien d'avoir ce que tu souhaite et que des données user et library sont bien toujours là, pense à resauver un nouveau user et backup pour qu'ils contiennent bien les nouveaux réglages.

Hi, thank you for your question, on Montage first generation /MODX's, if you set the Multi Mode, each part send and receive on it's own MIDI channel, part 1 MIDI channel 1, part 2 MIDI channel 2 ....You cannot change the MIDI channel for receiving, only for sending if you set the Master Mode for each part and change the MIDI sending channel. So for receiving data from MPC set the multi mode and set the MPC to send on separate MIDI channels each track, if send and can be done copy MIDI tracks on MPC to send the same to different parts. If you set the Hybrid mode, each part under keyboard control play on the same MIDI channel you set side the the Hybrid mode selection, but in that case, you will not be able to play this parts like they will be under MPC control. @@Moessieursi figured this video was too old to gather a response. i cant thank you enough for being such a valuable resource. as much as i love the modx+ and all that it brings to the table, some of the terms and methodology just confuse me. i think i mostly understand what youre saying. can i ask what exactly does receiving refer to? does it mean that the midi channels for the parts cant be changed as far as sending to the mpc?. im just a little confused about how to handle modx+ patches that have multiple parts built into them when using multiple performances in the same song. would i have to set up seperate mpc midi channels and do the send so they could play as they were originally intended by the modx+ side? im sorry i cant effectively communicate what im trying to ask. im probably going to have to get yamaha on the phone. thanks again

Hi, thank you for your kind words, as far i understand your setup, your MPC is sending MIDI notes and events (controllers moving as example) to the MODX+ . MODX+ parts receive this data. MODX part receive MIDI channel cannot been change, as i write part 1 is MIDI channel 1, part 2 MIDI channel 2 ... So you need to manage on your MPC to be sure each track you send goes to the good MIDI channel. In that case, that video will not help, MASTER mode is for controlling one other synth, rack or VSTI, it have no matter about receiving MIDI data from your MPC as example. So yes, you have to set up seperate mpc midi channels and do the send so they could play as they were originally intended by the modx+ side

@@Moessieurs Hmmm - not sure I follow you. Maybe I missed it but I didn't think there was a mention of 'live set' in the video. I thought you were just talking about loading a midi file for whatever the current performance is. Were you expecting that after the midi file was loaded the performance would be saved and then used in one, or more, live set slots? If so, then that would be an interesting test to see if both the pattern and the song midi links were saved when you save a performance. And, if so, whether you could create two live slot entries; one for song and one for pattern. Interesting possibility! Another reason I like your videos - you make people think.

Hi yes it's not in that video, a song or a pattern can be "link" with it's performance to a Live set for direct quick access. Check this Yamaha synths quick tips about that on MODX, it work in same way on Montage M czcams.com/video/gPMWJNgNgZ0/video.html hope that's help

@@Moessieurs Success! A performance can be saved with BOTH a pattern link and a song link. Then you can create two live set slots - one for song and one for pattern. Not sure if that is useful but it can be done.

Hi, if your question is: can i load on Montage M a MIDI file directly throught USB to host from the computer, answer is no, it must be copy on USB stick, same on the revert way, no way to transfert a MIDI file save from Montage M to the computer by usb to host.

@@graham8162 Hi, it's not a control change, it's a dedicate setting, perhaps sysex, you can see in Utility, settings, MIDI I|O for foot switch assignement, after CC95 you have dedicate settings like Arp On/off, Live Set +/- ....i need to check in deeper way, perhaps tomorrow end day i can, now it's band rehearsal time.

Hi I managed to sort out an alternative solution within ESP itself, please see below. When selecting say scene 2 in mixing, turn ARP on and underneath ARP Master off, this will set the ARP master to off. When selecting scene 3, turn ARP on and underneath ARP master on. This will make it possible to switch the master ARP on and off using Scenes and I’m changing scenes using CC messages on my iPhone. The above is working brilliantly for me, having the M8x at home and a practice set up when in our caravan, it’s a game changer for me. Well worth the asking price, With advice / guidance when required, nothing else comes close. Thanks Graham

@@graham8162 well done, I have check and the Camelot pro midi monitor does not see it as a sysex message or control change, it’s a dedicate control, so using scene memory is the good way 👍

Hi thank you for your question, there is no "option" on CK to set in direct way the MIDI Out acting like a MIDI Thru like we have on the MODX. You can use as an example Camelot Pro on iOS or PC/MAC or a DAW to route by using the port USB 2 as a thru but it's not a direct way an you are using the usb to host for that.

Lot of users have claim to have English version when I was releasing only French version and suit without not so much problem my videos, automatic subtitles that i edit understand/ recognize what i say more than 90%, not so bad. that also need to be Said now too. To be clear I also listening and next videos that will come will be with voice over on technical parts. Intro and outro with me and my bad French accent

Hi Graham, thank you for your question, not sure Korg Liano support audio thru it's usb connection, on Korg site it's write "Liano/KORG USB-MIDI Driver " and not "USB MIDI AUDIO" driver, if on Cubase settings, Liano is not view as an audio interface, you cannot use it's speakers to have ESP audio through it, if you have install the driver and Cubase see it as audio interface, set it as audio device as output device

⁠it’s very strange, everything was working perfectly and cubase recognised it as a audio interface. Until I stripped everything thing down and connected everything the following day.

@@graham8162 so check on studio , studio setup, audio system what it recognize as audio interface, if it set the Mac speaker, assign the Korg. After go on studio, audio connexion, output and be sure the korg is set as Main L/R

⁠Fantastic its worked, the secret was as you said in Audio System, under the ASIO Driver, it had Built in Audio. Changed this to Liano line out and everything else fell into place. Having the option to have this practice set up in a caravan, a M8x with it’s superb keyboard action at home with the possibility of using the Modx8 for playing live is dream come true. Just another question, is it not possible to control tempo for the arpeggios in ESP.

Hi, thank you for this question, I have it on two laptop and one desktop, but I’m on a dedicated trainer licence. Simply install it from the download manager on each computer and use the Steinberg activation. Manager to validate them, if you see that you cannot install on the third you will know it’s limited at two. So install it on the two most important computer you need first and check for the third.

⁠Hello, I have a problem, everything was working fine with my MacBook Air, ESP & Korg Liano. I have now noticed the ESP sound is coming out of the laptops speakers rather than the Liano. The volume knob has no effect, all the settings point to Liano in, Liano sound out. Music files play from the Mac to the Liano no problem, when I remove the usb cable I get a prompt asking if I want to use the Mac’s speakers, when I plug it back in, the prompt clears. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks Graham
