Okay guys,can you help me,I did split open clutch and pulley,I washed it everything,nice and clean,put new grease,everything nice and sealed,nice and tight,but when I start going it’s SOOOO LOUD,,,it’s not the engine,engine is nice and quiet,I did all that job because was dragging,so I fixed the dragging but the clutch is so loud,and I can’t work it out why,,,,ANY ADVISE GUYS?

My 150cc buggy slips very bad on take off and acceleration. Should I replace my clutch?
Trailmaster 200 won't budge... Give it gas and will not move forward or reverse. The engine sounds great no stalling and the drive belt is not worn.. the cvt looks good no warp... I tried adjust the shifter cables and nothing. This happened suddenly during a drive. It just stopped moving forward with giving it the throttle. What could be the problem?

I've been having problems with my Chinese gy6 lately so i figured I'd look around at possible solutions. This video hit the nail on the head literally every way possible from overheated purple cluch bell to flat spotted rollers and cheap metal variators having steps. Great video! Even though I'm 10 years late!
I just replaced a burnt out starter motor with my son on our Trailmaster xrx 200. The cart restarted with no problems. However, we are hearing a clunking noise when trying to start the go cart. This noise was present the day before when the original starter burned up.

I have a Eton 90cc I just put a new variator belt and clutch roller weights the whole nine yards and I noticed that the input shaft on a secondary clutch has a little bit of play is this normal and okay and now I'm getting a rattling when accelerating
There shouldn't be any play in the 2ndary shaft. May be a bearing going bad in there or a rounded off tooth. The rattling may be the new roller weights. Poor quality weights can do that as they are not usually all the same size as advertised. A poorly made variator will do the same.

I have a JAGUAR-200 (169cc) DELUXE Go Kart, Single-Cylinder, 4-Stroke, Horizontal Type, Air-Cooled. I noticed it no longer goes into higher RPM. I dont know much about these engines. What i did notice when i first bought it was it had 3 levels of RPM- power(according to how loud it got when driving it. It no longer goes into "lvl 3" aka the louder more power RPM. It only has 37miles and i have changed the oil twice. To break it in correctly. Its as if i lost the half the power when trying to drive it. What could it be? What should i do?
With only 37 miles on it and nothing weird happening, like it caught on fire last week or you drove it off a cliff, I would first check your air intake and main jet. The quickest way to lose top end is a clogged air filter or dirty jet. Even a little dirt in either will effect performance. Neither are likely with that low a miles on it but I don't know where you're riding and in what condition you put her away in after riding. It is possible some component went bad but I never go there first on a new buggy. It's almost always something simple so start there. If all you've been doing so far is riding around and haven't messed with the carburetor, CDI, Coil and such or done any performance tuning yet, it's probably, Air, Fuel or Spark, or a combination. A weak battery will also cause you to lose power. Hope this helps but if you clean those things and it still doesn't help, give me a call and we'll go into more detail to figure out what's going on. @@madbroindustries Thanks for letting me know I was right! I've been married 38 years. Don't hear that too often. :-) Open up that airbox, rejet your carb and install one of my CDI/Coil combo's and you'll smile ear to ear. All safe stuff and it adds and nice increase throughout the entire powerband. Don't buy a cheap CDI. If you don't get mine, don't waste your money, just rejet, open the airbox and install a performance coil. You'll have to hurry though. I'm shutting the store down any day now. 14 years and China's killed us.

I'm having a problem when I put on a new belt after the old one broke. The motor is trying to turn the back wheel even at idle, and it has no power to start moving from a stand still. The best I can explain is it's like trying to run in high gear. The scooter shops assures me the belt is the right replacement and a quick eyeing of the two belts makes them look the same aside from thickness which could be explained by wear.

Is it possible for this clutch to engage good in reverse but not work in forward? My go kart stutters bad in forward but revs up good in reverse and neutral. If there's no weight applied to the wheels in forward it revs up good. Looks like the clutch gets stuck almost. Is it possible they only work in one direction and not the other?

Very insightful thank you very much… I got a GY6 buggy that I have change the roller because they were flat spots with 10gram and I started it back up and now it seems to be lurching… Meaning jumping forward When accelerating… Does that mean the cluch is slipping Then grabbing?
No, probably let the rollers slip as you were sliding the variator back onto the shaft. Happens. Take the variator off and put your rollers back in correctly. Then, don't let the backing plate (The cover thing that holds the rollers from falling out) pull away from the variator at any time while you're putting it back on the shaft. The rollers can slip out of those ramps if you don't hold that backing plate down tight the whole time until it's against the back of th engine case. If you even think it might have slid away during that whole process, slide it off and check to be sure before you put it the outer fan and belt on. Hope this helps!

Well… I took off the variator and inspected the sliders it seem to be in the proper place and I did what you told me to do I took it off put them back on I tried it again and it lurched when driving..I thought operator error so I took it off again inspected it and put it back on again and it did the same lurching ...I also took off the clutch I inspected the clutch the clutch pads have a bout three dime to four dimes of thickness on the clutch pad the clutch drum has no blowing on it I took off the spring and that other thing that may stick and when I twisted it it did not stick… So I put it back on everything I put it on jackstands and revved up the engine and it runs perfectly with no load but as soon as you put a load on it it jumps or whatever you wanna call it lurches or what I mean jumps ... it looks like the engine twists a little. I greatly appreciate any insight… Thank you
@@CJM17627Okay Chuck. Sounds like you've done your due diligence so we probably have something else going on. Could be mechanical or simple misinterpretation so we'll have to talk on the phone so we can make stupid sounds to each other in order to diagnose more. "Is it a Vroom-Vroom sound?" @@Knmgarage yea all good mate I figured it out. Ordered the parts, thanks for the effort you and your son have put in, it helps the rest of us out greatly. Unfortunately yesterday I started the motor and the noise that come out of it was horrific. I pulled the top of the head off and the cam chain was loose. Pulled out the chain tensioner and the teeth were completely stripped. Ended up bent exhaust valve. So I have had the joys of ordering those parts haha love it. I have completely rebuilt this buggy including sandblasting it to bare metal and giving it a nice paint job its frustrating to have something so small cause so many issues but I guess that's the name of the game, Leads to bigger and better things.

I have a rattle noise from the CTV on my 2010 kymco maxxer 450i , The garage changed the belt and the 6 rings in the variatore, it was a little quieter but now after only a few months its the same. When the cover is off and revved high there is not a noise but when i have refitted the cover it rattles at high revs, do you think it could be the bearing in the cover ???
